I ordered this set hoping it was the designer name-brand sofa that looks identical. It's not, but it's a quality reproduction of that sofa. One thing to note: only the top surfaces are leather; the backs of the cushions and any part that doesn't show is covered in a polyester quilted black fabric. Still, the pieces are gorgeous and look wonderful and classy in our living room. The leather is very high quality and pebbled - everything wipes off of it and my kids have already put it through its paces with no damage done. The cat's claws do make light scratches in it but it's dyed all the way through so the scratches can hardly be noticed, which is much better than one can say for most leather sofas. (There is no such thing as a cat-proof sofa!) It's incredibly comfortable and looks fantastic. Delivery was better than I expected. It took about three weeks, but the sofa and loveseat came wrapped in multiple layers of cushioning and arrived in perfect condition. The only assembly required was zipping the pillows onto the back of the sofa.

This sofa and love seat surpassed my expectations. The quality of the leather, the craftsmanship and the aesthetics of the 2 pieces are comparable to the high end leather sofas that grace showrooms of fine stores. Prior to purchasing this I used a popular search engine and entered "Portola 84" black leather sofa" and there it was! A store in my area stocked it!!!! Naturally, I proceeded to the store and was able to see it and sit upon it...ran home and ordered it! Their price...SOFA $3,500, LOVESEAT $2,900. Um, need I say more?!? It has a firm, comfortable sit to it and is soft enough to cozy into the corners. VERY attractive and offered at an AMAZING price! We have had it now for several months and all who visit can't believe the price...the opportunity!! You will never duplicate this quality for this Design that's Within Reach!!!!

This set is stylish and comfortable and makes me look like I’ve earned the title that’s under my nameplate on the door! These couches are exactly what I was looking for, very functional and stylish at the same time. The bottom cushions are not attached. I purchased these couches after reading the reviews. I am extremely happy with this purchase. They arrived pretty quickly and there was no damages during shipping. They are great with kids and a dog.

We purchased this set in 2008 and it has held up nicely through a move and three cats. The set looks like it cost much more than we actually spent which is always great,

these couches i give to daughter as a wedding gift 3 years ago they are nice looking very comfortable and so far still holding up nice.

This set is working out just grand in my office. A nice, standard boxy design that is no frills is exactly what I wanted and it’s exactly what I got. Feels solid, well-built and the quality overall is first-rate. This set has made my office look more welcoming and certainly more comfortable. I was also impressed with the high level of customer service on O.co and am happy to recommend them.

I'm a little disappointed because once I received it I found a less expensive top-grain leather set that I liked better that wasn't available when I ordered this one. It's a very dull leather -- no shine like top-grain. I'm keeping it because I don't want to go thru the trouble of returning it. However, I'd really like to have the other which also comes with white glove delivery service. This set did not which I didn't quite understand what that meant since this was my 1st time ordering furniture online sight unseen. I had to help the delivery guy carry it in or he was going to leave it in the garage or driveway. I obviously didn't pay attention to the description that said "leather match". It's also very short. I only considered the width when I shopped. I'm sure it will grow on me once everything is in place. It's just different. My teenage kids thought it was better suited for the basement rather than our living room. My husband hasn't seen it yet -- I hope he likes it! It only took about 2 weeks to receive it which was excellent. My advice -- just read, read, read and measure, measure, measure. Try to envision it in your space and make sure it's what you want.

I always loved high class and high quality leather furniture that is why I purchased this Portola Black Leather Sofa and Loveseat Set. Even at first sight on the picture it can be seen that all the details are fine and made with the greatest care and punctuality. The sofa and loveseat are both comfortable and great looking giving the classic elegance and beauty to the living, the look I always prefer. The price is amazing for such high quality, but fortunately I got used to this from Overstock.

After owning this couch for about a year, I can honestly say I am not satisfied. Initially, it seemed to be comfortable but only after owning it for a couple of months I can honestly say I would not recommend purchasing this item. Sitting on it for a long period of time will give you a back ache. It's also not comfortable for napping.

The modern style of the set matches with the furniture I already have in my living room. The size of the sofa and loveseat is just right. This furniture is just the perfect size for my living room. So often, sofas and love seats are over sized and overstuffed. This is fine, but, becuase of limited space I needed and leather sofa and loveseat furniture set that was not so overwhelming. Well, I could not be happier with my choice

It?s a fine line that not too many pieces can pull off. The black leather feels like really quality stuff and the workmanship is great. I was skeptical ordering such an item without seeing it in person, I read the reviews and I liked what I read so I decided to give it a shot. I am extremely satisfied. The sofa and love seat were exactly as described on the website. Delivery was amazing. I received the items in less than 2 weeks. Safely packaged. Both pieces look amazing in my family room. Very stylish and contemporary. The back of the pillows and cushions are not fully leather. The thing that sold me on these pieces is that the back pillows and cushions are removable. Usually these pieces are the ones that go first. I was looking for something like this so when the pillows get ruined from overuse you can actually reupholster them with any type of fabric to give you a brand new sofa and love seat with a different look. This is what I wanted, If you are looking for a better allover quality leather this is not for you.

I ordered the Portola Black Leather Sofa and Loveseat and hoped for the best. I was mostly concerned about the size of the pieces, the color/texture of the leather, and the feet. In short, it was the perfect choice. Very sophisticated. You won't see this in any store! Also, since I have young children, it's simple to wipe down with warm water and a bit of soap. It's comfortable, but not so much so that people feel invited to lay down on it. The feet are a nice touch as well.

I didn't use them before I moved, just inspected them which demonstrated high quality leather and overall look. HOWEVER, if you're looking for a comfortable couch and loveseat to lounge in, these aren't what you want. They are very stiff and unwelcoming once you sit down.. So beware. If sitting upright like the approach on a commercial jet isn't you're thing, this product is not for you. If you're purchasing more for look than comfort, these couches will suffice at a decent price.
