I've never had a swamp cooler before so didn't know what to expect. Online reviews had me thinking it would act almost like a portable a/c unit, but unfortunately no... My master bedroom is huge and only has 1 vent, so its always at least 5 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. I hated wasting money freezing the entire house just so my room could be comfortable, so this seemed like a great solution. The air is definitely a little cooler than a fan, but not that much. I put in a bunch of ice, which promptly melted within minutes. This cooler pretty much works for my situation but I definitely wouldn't recommend this as a replacement for a/c. Its a little loud, but probably not so bad that I can't sleep. My first order from overstock and I was shocked it basically came overnight since I just did the free shipping. It was well packed and great that it was completely assembled - plug and play.

The air cooler works wonderful especially during the hot weeks that were experienced. The sleek blue looks reminds me of R2D2 the small robot but it is designed really good. So far there is no leak found. It is quiet and the timer is helps specially in the evenings when my kids are asleep and forgot to turn off the air cooler.

only does a decent job cooling (air conditioner quality) if you have both the ice packs in it- otherwise useless.fairly quiet

This particular evaporative cooler simply stopped working for me! We barely used it for a couple of weeks. It started making whining noises then soon after stopped working all together. It looks nice but I would not recommend it.
