Not blown away
Color was a brighter white than I expected. Build required is 40 W with a narrow base - very had to determine as this is only listed inside the narrow opening. Actual date on bottom - April 2005.......will use for an accent light in bathrooms for guests. Designed in Italy; made in China...not enough Italian styling for my taste, but it will do.

This lamp is beautiful.
The lite is a more true white, not creamy white. The photo is accurage. It looks BEAUTIFUL when it's on. You can clearly see the detailing. I put it on a curio shelf in the kitchen with my teapots, and it looks lovely when it's lit. Going to use it like a nightlight, and for extra light in the kitchen. Really pay attention to how tall the description says it is, because it won't work for your MAIN light source, in my opinion, because it's so short. But that's why I wanted it: for an accent/decorative light. It works perfectly for that. Looks a little rectangular in the photo, but it's squared, as the name 'cube' implies. You'll need to buy a little bulb for it.. since that doesn't come with the lamp and you'll want to use it right away! Hope this helps you.
