As someone else mentioned in the single pendant option, this light is made of porcelain and therefore does not allow as much light to escape as other materials. Make sure you're buying this for its gorgeous detail and style and not because you want a bright, even light in your room. It will produce a less bright, more downward-focused light. Each pendant is height-adjustable which is nice for customizing the look to your space. The wiring does have white, green and black strands which are rather ambiguous (but important) to find. Overall I am extremely pleased at how this light looks hanging from our cathedral ceiling in our bedroom.
