I bought this to go under a Day Bed. the height is perfect to match up to my existing bed for when company comes over. However there are no breaks or stoppers on the wheels. so i had to push it upagainst a wall to stablize it. the bed is shipped latched down and can be tricky to get the two latches to release at the same time. (easier with 2 people.) This is great for an extra bed when needed, but if you don't have carpet it rolls around too easy and needs some sort of stopper.

Very sturdy. Has a 15" clearance under a daybed, which is snug enough but not too tight. My mattress is fairly thick and fits with no problem. A good locking device designed to be easy to release and control when you want it to pop up, but won't come loose on its own. My son has slept on it and says it's very comfortable.
Great pop up frame. No assembly required and it looks sturdy and well built. We had a 5 inch mattress on it and it is very comfortable. One this is that we putt it under a bed with 10.5" space from the floor and one of the Q&A answer from overstock says it is 3" when pushed down so we though with a 6" mattress it will work great. Turned out to be about 4.5"-5" when folded so we had to go with the 5" mattress which fits exactly under the bed with no room to spare.
Overall, great product with a great price.
I needed this pop up trundle so that I could convert a day bed into a bed for guests. It took a few tries to understand how the mechanics work. The instructions do make sense once you understand exactly what you are supposed to do to make it move up and lock as well as letting it down. It took me a while but now that I understand it it's easy. So - my trials could just be oilers for error! Works great though! I still think it's a little expensive, but I'm glad I got it.

Hello, reviewme. When collapsed, the bed is about 3 inches high. You may want to plan for it to be a tiny bit higher than that, just in case. It may be a close fit, but it might work. Thank you for shopping with us.overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 11, 2014

Can a daybed with a popup be made up as though it were a larger size bed? Will the mattress on the popup be at the same height as the mattress on the daybed? What size linens would you purchase for this type of use? My interior designer told me that this could be done and that it would make up as a king but shorter.
Thanks. on Jun 28, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
The height of the mattress on the popup and the day bed itself depends on the mattress. If the mattresses are the same, the height will be the same, in my experience. I purchased twin linens and they fit fine. I have the deep pocket type as we like to put memory foam on mattresses plus the mattress pad. If you make it for a king size bed, use the king linens, and get one of those straps that keeps the trundle from rolling away from the daybed.rosie696 on Mar 23, 2013
