This is our 5 year old son's first big boy bed. His room is a little small so we were looking for a way to use the space well. It's great. It has a rugged feel to it and is so neutral, you can decorate the rest of the rooom any way you want. My son (and 3 year old daughter) is finding it to be a wonderful adventure. Plus, it was much easier to assemble than my husband and I thought it would have been. The only two drawbacks so far are one of the drawers is a little tight to pull out and it is harder to kiss him goodnight without actually climbing in.
