Handle is sturdy. The instructions did not say that you have to use an allen wrench to switch the handle for a right side mount, but you can figure it out.
The lever is reversible to use either on left hand or right hand door."Unscrew the two levers by the small metal bar in the package or use a screw driver.Switch and screw back together". Easier said than done. They are very pretty and shiny and unless you have the left hand privacy problem they are easy as pie to install. I am going to have to call a locksmith to do the reverse on the one that I need swapped around. It is exactly as the other reviewer has his problem with.
OK so i just got done updateing my bathroom including all high polish hardware. This was going to be the last piece. I read as much as I could find, but couldn't find the direction on which way this lever handle works. So I guessed based on the picture...I was wrong. My bathroom door opens into the bathroom (as it seems most do), with the hinges on the left hand side of the door (when facing the bathrrom from the outside) This handle WILL NOT WORK for this application. either the lock will be on the outside, so you can lock people in the bathroom or the lever will point away from the hinges, sticking out beyond the edge of the door, and therefore will not allow the door to open once installed. This WILL work when the hinge pin is on the same side as the lock with the hinges to your right and the door pushing away from you. HOPE THIS HELPS AND YOU ARE ABLE TO COMPLETE YOUR PROJECT
