Mounting issues The problem with these "dummy knobs" was that they didn't mount like other door knobs. Since I also had a dummy knob on the other side it was difficult to mount these. I had to use a 1/2' drill bit to hollow out the center behind the knob where the screw head is to get a flush mount. The main screw in the center removes the knob from the assembly and it was VERY tight. So if you can mount these easier than I could go for it. I got them mounted but damaged one in dealing with the screw and collar.

I have french doors that I need a knob on both sides of each door (4 knobs) - it appears from the photo the screws are on the outside of the knob to be put in the front of the door. The product details say the screw is in the back of the knob which won't work if I have to have one on each side of the door. Which is it?

Hello Update, these knobs are meant for doors where only a pull or push is required. To install simply remove the screw from the back of the knob and slide the screw through the hole in the door into the back of the dummy knob and tighten. Reviewers have stated that it does not come as pictured. We are sorry for that confusion. Thanks for shopping with us!
