Beautiful bookcase for the price. The bookcase came in 2 boxes, well packed. I assembled my self in a few hours, but I would recommend help. Highly recommended!

This bookcase is beautiful. It has classic lines, solid design and fairly easy assembly. It's really a bargan at the price. The color is dark dark brown. It showcases my books well. Very happy with the purchase.

Looks good except for the back panel which has a diagonal flaw ( 12+" long) that looks like the area is swollen up. Have it covered with books right now. Until I have time to see if I can get the back replaced. Put it together with some help from a friend. substantial sides and shelves. Just disappointed with the back piece.

At a cost of just slightly more than pressed board bookcases, this item is solid, well constructed with good fitting joints, and looks great. I expect to get many years of good use from it. The bookcase far exceeded my expectations.

I purchased two of these to go on both sides of a desk (also purchased on overstock.com) in our master bedroom. They look beautiful, elegant and sturdy. I had two handymen put them together and it took them about 2 hours. They also commented on the workmanship and the great value for the money. Very happy and satisfied.

We didn't know what to expect regarding the rubber wood. We were pleasantly surprised at the appearance and class it adds to our home office. It is the focal point of the room.

After searching high and low for bookshelves that would take advantage of the area between my fireplace hearth and the wall, I found the Plymouth bookshelf to be the perfect width. When I read the reviews, I wondered if it was too good to be true. I was not disappointed, in fact, I was thrilled with the product. The shipping was fast and the bookcase pieces were packed so well that even when the UPS delivery guy "dropped" my package off, everything remained undamaged. I was immediately impressed with the weight of the pieces. This is solid wood and the details make all the difference between just a bookcase and a piece of furniture. The color is gorgeous and sophisticated. The assembly was a little difficult, more because the size of the pieces, rather than from the instructions etc. I should have read more closely the reviewer that said to use a straight screwdriver to tighten the cam heads. Ooverall, I am very pleased with my purchase!

Easy to put together but you do need two people. Bookcases are a perfect size and fit the measurements exactly. Quality of the wood was better than expected. They are pricey but worth every penny and look more expensive. The back is a little thin but up against a wall you never notice. We ordered two and love them. The color is a beautiful dark espresso and they showed up in perfect condition and were shipped quickly. We looked at several bookcases that were more expensive and looked cheap. We are very pleased and would recommend this product.

I purchased 2 bookcases for my living room/library. They are an excellent value and very well constructed. I assembled myself in under an hour. I shopped all over and could not find this size bookcase at this price. Okay, I could but it looked cheap. This is a nice piece of furniture.

As a first-time buyer on Overstock, we took a risk buying a large piece of furniture but the reviews on the Plymouth Bookcase were excellent and shipping was free. The bookcase arrived intact. It was fairly easy to assemble - though took some hunting around for the right tools and it's looks fabulous in our small apartment. We are so pleased with this purchase we've ordered a new bed arriving in a few weeks!

I've been watching the Overstock commercials for years, but this is the first thing I've ever bought from the company. I was a bit nervous buying furniture online, but it was a good choice. UPS delivered the boxes, and they looked shredded, so I was convinced I was going to have to figure out how to return boxes larger than (and as long as) my car. The components were well packaged and not damaged. It took less than an hour to install (only took that long because I kept stopping to watch the news). Anyhoo, it looks great and is a good buy. Note, the directions tell you to stand it up to install the back. If you are installing this alone, lay it down on the front or at least lean it up against something (that's what I did); it will save your toes and patience. Oh, and a large flathead worked better than a medium phillips. Also, use a drill to install the first set of hex screws and the back panel screws (it'll save you time). Happy shopping.

I bought 2. The toughest part was bringing the 4 boxes into my house. The UPS man left them right in front of my door and I had to rearrange the 2 smaller boxes before I could move the 2 larger and heavier ones to open the door! Assembly took about an hour and half for each. Directions were easy to follow, with screwing the back cardboard panel on being a little tedious. They look very nice and are very well made. I have put together many bookshelves before and I must say these really are the nicest and most well made. A real piece of furniture and do not make your room look like a college dorm.

I ordered 2 of these beautiful bookcases to flank my living room bay window. They arrived promptly, in terrific shape and I was able to assemble them myself in about an hour per bookcase with a cordless drill and screwdriver - and I don't build things ;-). My teenage daughter did help me when it came time to put the long side units (one solid piece of wood) together. The color is deep and rich, just what I wanted. Terrific quality for the price and can't beat shipping costs. I am thinking of getting 2 more for the bedroom's bay window - I need the stylistic storage.

This is really really sturdy, solid wood and a beautiful stain. The design is sleek too with the top panel and the nice end pieces. It was a bit hard to put together but no more difficult than any other furniture I've bought online. This could be built with one person alone. It really looks gorgeous in my modern room.

Very solid, sturdy, easy to put together. Great looking. The rubberwood with Espresso finish is stylish. This will last a lot longer than cheaper compressed board/veneer type shelves.

Arrived quick, no damages, pretty easy to put together but did take about an hour. It looks great, is very solid, and it's huge - which is exactly what I wanted.
