Plateau Gloss White Computer Desk

Arrived in perfect condition and was exactly as advertised. Assembly was OK for those who have put together RTA furniture before. May not be so easy for someone who is not handy. Much easier to assemble with two people. The instructions had some minor errors but we were able to figure it out. Love the desk, is very sturdy and exactly what was shown. Extremely fast delivery too.

After reading so many reviews about this desk being so hard to put together, I was almost discouraged from buying it, almost. But I put my fears aside, hoping that my desk would be different and decided to order it. I am so glad that I did because it far exceeded my expectations. It arrived carefully packaged and my boyfriend (God bless him) assembled it for w/out error or complaint. He did use a powered drill to speed things along and I'd say it took about 2-3 hours to assemble. To my knowledge all the holes matched up and the instructions were for the most part comprehensible. In this case my risk paid off and I have a beautiful desk to show.

It took me 4 days to put desk together and it still not completely together. One of the legs predrill hole is to small. The base of the desk and top want line up with the screws. I do recommend if you do get this desk to use and electric screwdriver or you will be screwing in screws for the rest of your adult like. I still can't get the keyboard draw to line up right... The desk looks good but everyday I wonder if I'm going to go home and my desktop is on the floor. Trust me pick out another desk.

This desk looks great and is pretty sturdy once it's been assembled. The issue is that it is not at all simple to assemble. When we opened the boxes there were probably 100 screws, pegs and pieces in different bags. It took two people about 2.5 hours to get it together. I'd also highly recommend that you have a power drill/screwdriver to assemble. Most holes are predrilled, except for on the drawers where the drawer glides go. The desk is also a bit low to the ground, you definitely can't use a chair with it that has arms. On a positive note, the finish is great, the drawers slide smoothly, and there is a lot of storage space in it. I did think it was a bit overpriced for the work that had to go into assembling it though.
