The description is definitely misleading. The table top is made to look like its from separate planks, but its obvious when you see it that it is in fact one piece of MDF with lines carved in to it, and a fake walnut wood grain "stain". It is sturdy and was simple to assemble (attaching the legs to the table top and bottom shelf).

This table is definitely easy to assemble and looks pretty nice. The wood color is a darker medium (not as dark as an expresso and some "walnut" stains). Overall it is an okay buy for the price, but I think I was just a tad disappointed because I had read so many reviews about how beautiful it is and how it looks more expensive than it is. I feel it is a nice table, but I would call it above average and nothing spectacular. While I am fairly happy with the buy, I wish I hadn't read reviews that I feel exaggerated the quality. My advice, don't buy because of the reviews, but simply because of the photos on-line. I like that it is 2 inches higher than most console tables. I use this as an entry table against a wall.

I was a little reserved at first when I was reading the reviews, but overall I was very pleased with the quality and how easy it was to assemble. I have had other products that I have had to assemble that were complex.....if this table had one more piece to it I would have had to ask for help. I am pleased with the table and it looks great in my entry.

this is a nice looking table. It is darker than it appears online however. Almost a mahogoney color. It is a combination of wood and particle board, but has a quality look to it.

The table is perfect for a large foyer or as an accent piece. It comes as pictured and it will complement many different styles. The table is not solid wood but a combination of wood and particleboard. For the price it is an average deal since its durability may be questionable.

This was easy to put together, however I did need help wiht the botton shelf. Produce looks good.

Very nice table. Just as described. The table is very sturdy and the finish is nice. I am using it as a sofa table behind a love seat and it looks wonderful. Lots of nice compliments. Easy to assemble. Took about 20 minutes. I have always been happy with the furniture from Overstock.

I bought the matching coffee table years ago and was so excited to see this matching sofa table. Came on time, easy to put together and looks great.

I ordered this table for a new home we just bought. The pictures showed it a lighter color than what it came as in my case, which Im very happy with! I was hoping it was a little darker than the picture. It looks absolutely amazing in our entry way! Would absolutely recommend this table, my husband tried to get me to order another one for the upstairs hallway because we love it so much. He also put it together Very quickly and easily! Took him about fifteen minutes. Love love this table!

We love our new console table. Great quality and easy assembly. The wood tone is even better than in the pics.

This is a very sturdy, heavy table that sits level and was fairly easy to construct (I was impatient waiting for my husband to get home, so I did it by myself in about 20 minutes). It is very true to the pictures...color and all. I was hoping that it would be slightly darker based on other reviews, but it is definitely has a yellow undertone. Other than the color being lighter than I was hoping, I am very happy with this table and would say that this is a great buy for the price.
