I ordered two of these, and each of them came with all the parts necessary to put it together; however, assembly was very difficult. Worth it, but difficult. For example, the metal cord cover was not really big enough to accommodate the cord, so it took a long time to force it through. This would have been so much easier if the cord cover was a tiny bit wider! But I'm glad to have it, it makes it look much nicer than cheaper plug-in sconces. Also, the cord was not connected to the plug, you have to do that yourself, with a hammer. It's a little intimidating, but I guess it's handy because it means you don't end up with a longer cord than you need. One of the lights came attached crooked, but I was able to force it back into position after some wrangling with a pliers. All in all, a lot of work to set up, but I have received several compliments on them, so I guess it's worth it.I'm using them attached to a light switch, so I'm not worried about the switch position, but it didn't seem too bad to me. There is plenty of room in there for a "mini" energy saver bulb, so they are big enough for me.
