It is a great lamp.....EXCEPT I thought it was wireless since it has a remote....I am returning b/c I do not want a cord showing from the bottom of my painting.
This lamp is much smaller than I thought. Make sure you're aware of the dimensions. Has a dimmer, which is nice. Overall, I like it.
I broke both of them immediately as I was trying to take off the coverplate - which you have to do so that you can screw them into the wall socket. I was also very disappointed that I had to use an entire outlet, because this is a cover plate, not just a light that plugs into 1 socket. There's not chance of plugging something else into the same outlet.
Doesn't always work. Batteries burn out very quickly. Very expensive to keep replacing batteries. Cold light--doesn't really enhance painting.
The light itself is nice and easy to install, though the screws are tiny so don't drop them! The remote was very cool, but only worked for a couple of days. The light can be dimmed, but if your light is mounted high, as mine is, and the remote doesn't work, you can't adjust the brightness. The battery in the remote is not a standard battery, so won't be easy to replace.
