I bought this set to get me started, and it is just what I needed. Simple, sturdy, great weight (heavier), and lasting. These aren't fancy pieces of silverware, mind you - just something that will withstand extensive use/washing/banging around. I love the set.

I was looking to spend a $40 Overstock credit and since I needed flatware, I thought I would check out Overstock. This item received high rating from everyone so I want to give it a chance. The flatware is nothing to write home about. It's really very ordinary and the pieces are pretty short compare to normal flatware. It's so plain Jane that it looks like cafeteria flatware. I decided to return them.

We bought this set for our son and daughter in law for a wedding gift and they loved it. She rec'd other silverware sets but took them back because she loved this one. Would recommend for anyone.

I was very pleased when I received the set. The weight and the appearance of the utensils seemed really nice and I thought I got a very good deal. However, the second time they went through my dishwasher the inside edges of the fork prongs were were showing some rust. When I looked at it further I realized the inside edges of the prongs were rough and they did not have any shine to them.....totally unfinished. So now I have to handwash all the forks so I don't have to be scubbing rust off the inside edges of the prongs....which is a total pain!

To be honest, they're not he worst set of utensils. But they're definitely not what I thought they'd be. They don't look like they're cheap or overtly ugly by any means. I thought they looked pretty heavy, and they appeared to have nice, round, thick, brushed steel handles in the picture. In reality, they're moderately light, well polished, thin handles. So if you thought like I did from looking at the pictures, let me save you the time... this set is not for you. Really though, they're not a bad set, just what I had in mind. Live and learn, don't by things buy looks if you can't really see what they look like or hold them in your hands.
