  • Bigger than 54" ! Doesn't fit.

    Doesn't fit in my window because its true dimensions are 54 5/8". I'm going to try to saw it down. Shame, because it's very nice and will look great.

  • Roman shades add texture and style

    Shades can be an expensive investment, but Overstock offered these roman shades for an excellent price. They were very easy to install. I do not have standard windows so I had to purchase shades that were much longer than my window; however, I shortened them to the appropriate length for my windows using a hot glue gun . As expected, the shades do not totally block the sun, but break the glare while adding texture and style to my windows.

    I have been buying this shade a few at a time for my whole house, and each time I receive them they are perfect. The size is right the color is right. I'm very happy with all of the shades I have bought.

  • Nice to look at, nicely made

    This blind is heavy and well-constructed. There is a greenish hue to the tortoiseshell pieces that alternate with the matchstick. This is probably due to the freshness of the bamboo and will fade away in time, but for now, it was just what I expected and looks great. I was especially pleased with the wide variety of sizes offered for this blind that allowed me to find the exact size I needed. And as always, the low shipping cost is very appealing. Another good deal for me at Overstock.com

  • Nice Blinds

    Nice looking blinds. However, I wanted to install them outside the window frame and the hardware including doesn't exactly work right for an outside install. Will need to make a stop to the hardware store. Otherwise, very nice looking.

If the shade is 54 inch wide by 74 inch long, the valance width is 54 inch by 7 inch long. If complete pull up, it is about 9 to 12 inch long. overstockcustomercare1 on Oct 30, 2012
