AMAZING dining set!
We looked for a long time for a tall table that would seat 8. We went to furniture store and everyone had 4 seaters but no 8 seaters. We thought we found one but the wood slats at the bottom of the chairs were so thin that one step up by one of our kids and that wood would have broken. This table is exactly what we were looking for. The 2 toned woods bring out the colors in our kitchen plus it's nice and sturdy! Having Overstock have the delivery company put the table together was such a blessing. It took 2 guys over 2 hours and my husband was pleasantly surprised when came home from work at 7:45 p.m. to see he didn't have to do a thing!!

Terribly put together product.
Okay, so the table SHOULD be a better rating than what it is getting. The table itself is well constructed, solid and a good deal for the price. The chairs are another story altogether. After we initially received our table and the White Glove service began some assembly, we noticed that every single chair was defective on the back panel. This is the chair back portion that has the grid pattern. At first, we thought it was glue (and on some of the chairs it may have been, but mostly it was a large gap where you could see a stark white, non-finished area where the pieces had been machined to fit together. To say it is noticeable is an understatement. Also, pieces were missing. We spoke with Overstock's customer service team (they are fantastic to deal with, by the way) and we were told the manufacturer's rep would ship out spreader bar kits and touch up paint so that we could try to mask the white on the backs of all the chairs. What we got was a big surprise when we came home to find a pallet of unassembled chairs dumped in our driveway. So we opened all the boxes and surprise(!!) half of the replacement chairs have the same problem. Now we have 16 junk chairs instead of 8! We ended up having to pay a considerable amount of money to pay to have all the packaging discarded, we lost a considerable amount of time dealing with the chairs, and in the end, we're still going to have to go to the hardware store and try to touch the paint up ourselves. In this instance, I can truly say we got what we paid for. Again, this review is strictly for the dining set and the manufacturer rep. Overstock was great to try and work with but in the end, the table is still just a piece of junk (well the chairs are anyhow). Avoid this set.

Great young-looking dining table
This dining room table is great. I've received many compliments on it. Makes for a great game table with friends as well. Big enough for comfortable sitting/eating group of 8. Price is right.

The Perfect Family Dining Table
I have been looking for a new dining set for well over a year and this table is the talk of the family. We are a family of five who never have enough space to seat friends or family for meals. I absolutely love the hide-a-way leaf which allows for us to quickly go from a cozy six person table to an eight within minutes. In the video, it shows one person switching the table over, but in actuality it really takes two. I was worried that we would struggle to switch it over, but it really is as easy as it looks ... as mentioned ... very quick and easy with two people. I would also like to add that the delivery was far more than expected. They brought every thing in, assembled every last piece, and even made sure that the table was exactly where I wanted it ... to the point of aligning it under the ceiling light perfectly. From start to finish ... I could not have asked for a better furniture purchase experience. I highly recommend!
