I was a little nervous to order this rug sight-unseen, especially because there weren't any reviews to confirm the specific colors of the rug. I did some research online and discovered that this is actually from the **** Mystique line, and so I also compared pictures of the rug on **** website and on other rug store websites, to make sure the pictures were an accurate representation. It's always difficult to tell what the colors will be like in reality, but I found it helpful to look at the images on several different laptops, and ultimately, I found that the colors as shown on my iphone were the most accurate. In general, the colors of the rug are very muted as the intent of the Mystique line is to reproduce "antique" looking rugs at a reasonable price. The main color in the center of the rug is a tan, but if you get close enough (i.e. looking at the actual fibers) it's almost a muted, mustard color, which gives the overall rug a warm, aged feeling. The outer border is a grey-beige color that actually tones down the warm colors a bit. This grey-beige is interspersed throughout the center of the rug in a swirly pattern, but it is the main background color around the border. The accents in the rug are dark brown and burgundy, though these are very soft and thin overall and intentionally discontinuous to make the rug look aged. The outer edge has this same effect, with the dark brown accents interspersed with a medium brown and then the grey-beige color to make the rug appear worn. The viscose/polypropylene fibers are very soft and I might actually prefer it to the coarseness of some wool rugs that I have seen. The pile height is low (like the description states), and it's not very thick or squishy, but I wasn't looking for that in a rug. Overall, I am extremely pleased. I have seen the exact same rug advertised for twice as much, and frankly it surprises me that Overstock can offer it at such a low price. I had originally seen this rug line and thought it was out of my price range, so thank you Overstock! Additionally, I ordered this rug on a Wednesday and it was sitting on my front porch by Thursday evening, which is simply astounding!

I was looking for a vintage look in a rug. When we first unrolled it, I was nervous that the variations in color were too obvious. After 2 days they softened up and the rug now looks lovely. It did shed at first but after being vacuumed twice (it filled the canister both times) it is fine. The rug is very soft underfoot and looks expensive. It is a little darker than the computer image and reads more gold than beige.
