Pedestal Glass Sink with Stainless Steel Stand

The sink and base came in excellent copndition and packed extremely well. The only problem was the instrucitons were not included. Overstock.com helped with the issue and I had the instructions via email in 2-days. The installation took a little over an hour with a good plumber. I used a plumber to pass on any liability in case I screwed it up. I recommend bolting down the pedestal base for added stability. Overall the sink works well, BUT I will warn you that this type of sink will spray the water directly onto your crotch if the pressure is too high! It will shoot straight up like a rocket. It won't look well if you come out of the bathroom with a huge wet spot, trust me on that If you like this style of sink, I believe you will like this product. The price is very good as well, comparred to what I found looking around everywhere else.

I was re-doing a small bathroom, and wanted a sink that wouldn't take up a lot of visual space. This sink fits the bill to a "T". The pedestal reflects the wall and floor tile, making it stand out even less. The faucet seems to be surprisingly good quality for the price. Disadvantages? 1. Unlike some other reviewers, I did not install this myself. My plumber was disturbed that there were no rough-in instructions. He had to figure things out, and, of course, I had to pay for the time it took him to do that. 2. A hand towel on the towel bar negates any elegance this sink may have started with. 3. The glass sink water-spots. (This is probably true of most glass sinks.) Be prepared to wipe it down after each use.

I love the sink and pedestal. I get raving comments from my visitors every time they use the powder room. However I do have two rust spots at the top of the pedestal which can be seen through the vanity glass top. The sink gets very little use so I do not know where the rust came from. Any way it is an EYECATCHER and Conversation piece. Best Buy for the $.

This sink is literally breathtaking...my friends and family gasp when they first see it. The glass elements are very thick, beveled, and finely crafted. I considered putting it in myself, but I had to first remove a corroded 52-year-old wall-mounted sink, so I hired a plumber (glad I did). He had done glass sinks before, so for him it was easy. It works very well and is sturdy enough for my uses, and is very easy to clean. I used clear caulk to secure the base to the floor and the back of the countertop to the wall (keeps it a lot steadier). A note about the base: it is hollow and makes a gong-like sound when you tap it. I suppose I could fill it with some kind of waterproof batting to muffle the sound, but it's not a major problem. A great beginning to my remodeled dream bathroom. For the price, it can't be beat. Love it.
