It looks like a stretchy slipcover, which is what it is. We used it to cover a cosmetically unappealing leather couch. As with all slipcovers, it shifts a bit when you sit on it, but it's easy to tuck back into place and the couch looks a lot cleaner than without it. The cover stretches down over the back to the base of the couch. Probably will fit better if your couch or sofa doesn't have bun feet - they are wider just at the edge of the base, so the fabric cannot reach as far under the couch for a tighter fit.
I love the color and feel(very soft) but it is a little too big for my loveseat. I need to adjust it often.
Looks great and doesn't slip very much. Only drawback is it catches lint pretty bad. Have to use a lint roller frequently. Still a good value and makes my tired old couch look great.
I could not really tell what this fabric was from the pictures shown but it is a soft and VERY stretchy fabric that resembles corduroy. There is a generous cut to this style which will accommodate the fuller loveseats that are pictured. My loveseat is a camel back Chippendale style and is not bulky at all, so there is a LOT to tuck into the seat. Still, it did improve the loveseat tremendously so I am glad I bought it. The loveseat version does not have the velcro tabs at the bottom to secure around the legs like the wing chair version does. I also bought this same slip cover in the wing chair style and it is perfect! The red color is a rich garnet red - not the bright red pictured.
This slipcover has given my old sofa a new life. It looks elegant.
