They've changed them We have bought these as gifts in the past and unfortunately, they have changed and not for the better. They will work fine for a while, but if I had bought them for myself, I would return them. They used to have riveted handles, not now, but they will work sufficiently.

Better than expected!! After shopping in the stores I lokked at the Paula Deen sets at several stores. The fit and finish was amazing and I started looking on line. I got to Overstock and found what I was looking for, or so I thought. You see this is the Paula Deen Signiture Series. It is better than the ones you find in the stores on line and the phisical stores. I took the plunge and ordered them. Again, I was surprised that they looked different than the ones at the big box stores, different and much better. Overstock always gives me what I want at a good price. They hit a home run on this deal though. I am more than satisfied.

NOT made in USA, some dull blades Just got these today; not very happy. Think I might send them back. Took one knife out and it couldn't cut through a tomato skin without denting the tomato. One reason I ordered was because it says it was made in the USA and in fact the box does say made in China. Other reviewer was correct. I expected better.

Maybe I should ask the question in a different way. How many pieces are in the 14-piece set. There are only 13 pieces listed.(If you count the pieces in the picture there are 14.) On Paula Deen's website there are 14 pieces listed one being a 8-in. Sharpening Steel. Could that be the missing piece in Overstock's description?
