Customer Reviews
I own both the green and grey heavy duty windmills, which are fabulous. I bought one of these for my garden and one for my aunt. I will not be assembling them until Spring - so I don't know if it will be as easy as the others, which were more expensive than this one. The photograph looks fabulous and historically, I have never, if ever been dissatisfied with an Overstock purchase.
The windmill works great but was not easy to put together. I had to redrill three holes to mount the top piece that holds the windmill. There was no way to attach the blue collar. For someone without tools and knowhow it would have been a nightmare.

This was the biggest pain in the neck to put togehter. I finally had to ask my uincle to help and he had to go get his drill and bits b/c none of the holes matched up. It is so wobbely and the first big windy storm we had it almost took off! We had to secure it with wire and hammer metal rods down into the ground to stake it better. This was such a disappointment. It looks cheap and is not sturdy.

Fairly easy to put together.. well built.. sturdy... BUT, not all the pieces fit where they were supposed to go. Instructions could have been better illustrated. Had to dis-assemble a couple times to get it right. One big disappointment. The windmill shaft that slides into the upper frame doesn't have the means to keep it straight, and therefore tilts at an angle with no bottomsupport. I had to make a triangular block out of wood to wedge up into the top triangular part of the frame, and drill a hole in the middle the size of the shaft in order to give it more stability, keep the shaft straight, or plumb, and also greased the shaft as I put it in. Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play. All in all.. it works well, and looks great in our backyard..

Didn't expect much-priced so low-some bolts didn't seem long enough so used my own It looks cute and has continued to work a month later despite strong winds in my town that have wrecked whirly-gigs in the past
