I had one of these umbrellas and knew what to expect. The base needs to be either bolted down to a concrete slab, or do what I did: use an existing fence post to secure it from falling during light winds (I used four stainless steel hose clamps, with a few wooden spreaders to allow the sliding mast to work correctly.)
This umbrella also needs one or two bungee cords when the wind starts picking up. Other than the above, it gives a good amount of shade for a few chairs under the sun....

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Seems to be OK, but I can see the base is the weak point.
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Accurate
