Perhaps I didn't think this one through. I never was able to erect it, and the shade cloth was not very quality I would have thought wind damage would be unavoidable.

I bought this umbrella stand for my deck umbrella. It's easy to assemble. All you need to have on-hand are bricks or sand to fill for the weight. 2 of the 4 wheels are locking that can be easily locked with your foot. It makes it super easy to move around! The base is made of a durable, heavy duty polyethylene and very easy to maintain. They also supply various pole opening sizes to accommodate your umbrella. I love this product so much I am looking to get a couple more for around my pool!!

I use the sunshade on the boat to keep the sun off the cabin during summer. It keeps the boat several degrees cooler and allows the air conditioning to keep the boat cool when I use it. It has taken strong winds and shows no wear for the several years I have used it. I love the value and the quality.

I'm surprised all the people who bought this and complained it falls over. They did not read the description on the sales page here, that it MUST be weighted down at the base with (4) 12' square concrete patio paver stones, otherwise it will fall over. Duhhh... I first bought one of these 6 year ago from my local patio store, who came out and delivered and set it up with the required patio paver blocks for the base weights at a cost around $***. I bought it then because of its affordable - nicer patio umbrella this size cost around $****. It works and looks great for the first few years However for this price, long term reliability is an issue. And I live in Socal where the weather is moderate Here's what happened to mine: • New - The pull cord cup that opens the umbrella arms doesn't really mate up well with its cord socket when the umbrella is open. No big deal. Not really noticeable to anyone but the owner. • 2 years - the wind spun the umbrella arm around and broke the center locating bolt in the support post that allows rotating the umbrella from side-to-side. I am a mechanic, so if was able to drill a larger diameter hole in the support post and install stronger bolt, no real problem. Do remember to close the umbrella in windy conditions over 10mph or it can break the arm or flip over. • 4 years - the internal cord that opens and retracts the umbrella, rotted and broke (it must be cotton?). I took the Crank Assembly and Umbrella stand/arm apart to install a new heavy duty 3/16' nylon cord/rope. Not having done it before, it did take a few hours to figure it out and simple hand tools. 6 years - The hand crank ratchet mechanism wore out and the umbrella would no longer stay open. It was not repairable. The umbrella cloth is rotting and tearing. Time to replace it - so you can expect an outdoor life for it of about 4-6 years. So why am I buying another one with all these reliability problems and short working life? Because I know its flaws and how to repair it, and the low price on Overstock.com at just $***.** with free shipping and no sales tax is so dam cheap. I can't afford not to. The cost of replacing it over the long run, is still probably much less than buying a more expensive model. And the design only takes up a small foot print on my patio next to the 6' round patio table and chairs that it covers quite well.

Have not used yet, but looks fine. Crank to open and close works fine.

The pulley/liine is much easier to use than a crank and will not jam

Umbrella works great with the Tahiti table & chairs. Light & airy; easy to crank down when windy thunderstorms hit.

I loved this umbrella as soon as I saw it. It's beautiful and looks much more expensive than what I paid for it. One of the main reasons I opted for this umbrella over others was because of the lights, which were BEAUTIFUL the first time we used them. All of our guests commented on the lights underneath the umbrella. However, the very next night when we tried to use them, they didn't work. We don't use this umbrella near water, it hadn't rained the night before, basically there was nothing to explain the malfunctioning lights. It was a big disappointment, and the only reason I wouldn't purchase this umbrella again or recommend it to friends.

I've now purchased two Umbrellas for Overstock and have been most satisfied with both. The first was for personal use it was lighted but no Thermometer/Clock . Had it for a year and it is great. The second I recently purchased for a wedding gift and it had the Thermometer/Clock and was Lighted. The reciepients were so pleased and exited that they called their folks to tell them what a great present we had given them. So, now there are 2 happy families using Overstock umbrellas.

Ordered this is the Spring and have used one summer now. Besides the fact that I wish I had ordered a larger umbrella, this is an excellent product, and still looks and works like new! ( Easy to clean off the bird's well-wishes.)

Easy assembly, my wife and I did it in a little over 2 hours and we took our time. Friends and neighbors all like it. Haven't had rain or wind yet, but don't think there'll be a problem. Installed LED rope lights using the velcro straps that secure the cover to the metal frame - works great!

This umbrella has a weighted base with a much smaller footprint than the cross style requiring patio blocks. It's just what we needed to be able to use our deck during the heat of the day. Love it!

Product arrived much quicker than predicted in very good condition. It fit the description provided on website and was easy to unpack and set up. Fabric is a little lighter than I thought it might be but would not prevent me from purchase in the futur. The support pole is very sturdy and asthetically pleasing. Putting product up and down is very easy and quick using the handle provided. The only thing that would make product better is to have a cover for it when its folded and not in use. I would rate is as very, very good!!

A few years ago we purchased an extra large top of the line sun shade and love it. When we saw the medium sized triangle shades at Overstock, and for a killer price, we ordered a few. Our climate at 6300 feet elevation is very harsh, and thought we take the shades down in the winter, it is the UV that ruins everything. These are good quality, nice colors, and even with the UV we expect them to last for at least awhile. Highly recommended, especially at the great Overstock price!

I bought this for my mothers patio. The color is great and it provides plenty of shade for here outdoor table. The tilt feature is perfect for the morning sunrise and easy to use. She is very happy with the umbrella and quality.' The only "con" would be that it did not come with a tie to wrap around it and secure it in the closed position.

I used this once for a cookout loved the lights. The lights did not work the second time I tried to use it. I was extremely disappointed.
