After ordering two of these lamps, one lamp was found to be misaligned due to poor workmanship. It was sent back and reordered, not without difficulty, and a second lamp finally showed up. It too had a misalignment problem with the body of the lamp and the base at a lesser degree than the first. After all of the difficulty in shipping the item back and re-ordering we decided to keep it and forget about it.The reason for 3 stars is that the lamp looks fine from a distance and is an interesting design and given the price we decided that we got what we paid for. Bought this lamp after I first bought the similarly looking Mocha lamp which seems to have been manufactured by the same company. They both use the same shade material. Noticed that this lamp has a very distinct paint odor when I unpacked it today. Hope it will disappear. Also, this lamp, just like the other lamp, has this ridiculous switch under the shade itself which is hard to reach without banging the shade around. It does NOT have a socket switch as the ad states...would have been nice if it had. Also, both lamps are "so so' in workmanship, I got to bend the finial a little to make the shade sit straight. However, the shade itself is very nice, gives a very warm soft light. Also, shade itself has a lining, hence does not look so cheap as some other ones. Overall, both lamps look good. This lamp looks good together with the other one which is much taller.

These lamps add elegance to my decor. Simple to put together. The finish on the lamps make it appear to be dusty, but that is just the way they are made. You have to look very closely to see the patina finish, but they are sleek and the shade compliments the lamp.The lamps have an Asian flair to them.

This lamp is so great looking and so well made. It's different than your average lamp with it's rectangle lamp shade and body. I think it looks great in my room.

We needed an Asian-themed lamp for a big desk area and we needed it to be able to carry a bulb powerful enough to read and write in the light This lamp fills the bill. We have a 3-way bulb in it and it can light up the whole office if need be. Looks great, goes with the warm brown wood and bronze tones in the room, and was certainly the right price.

Nice looking lamp - gives off very warm light that makes our family room feel even cozier. Not sure why original price was in $200s, good quality and thought $60+ we paid was great price. Considering getting another one like it or the taller one. Thought I saw a mention of a similar floor lamp as well, but but could not find it on Overstock site.

The item listed compare price of $266 and gave an impression of saving of 70+% with $** you pay. I don't know where overstock gets such compare price figure. For this particular one it's quite misleading. I'd say the amount I paid is reasonable for the quality of the lamp, but not a "steal" as the compare price might suggested. Some issues with the lamp: - one of the horizontal line of the shade does not appear to be parallel to the horizontal line of the square. - metal base and the square feels pretty light. Hence 3 stars.

These are very nice lamps. We purchased two to update our living room look. I like the narrow oblong shades. Color matched well with drape rods we purchased on the O too.

The shade on this lamp appears square in the picture but is actually rectangular.Would look fine up against a wall, but in my case I replaced it with a square shade that worked better. Overall a very nice lamp. and I'm very happy with it.

Well constructed and put together. The switch to turn on/off the lamp is tucked up under the shade ... which asthetically makesw it appealing since it's not visible, but makes it somewhat awkward to turn on/off. Small hands required. 3 way bulb, but might be best to plug this lamp on a wall switch to avoid the on/off knob situation. I have seen similiar style lamps at other retails averaging almost $299 ... while those lamps are of slightly higher quality, you definitely get more value with this lamp.
