The lamps were quite nice, but one arrived with the shade crushed because the box had been crushed. Overstock did a FABULOUS job - they responded to my request for replacement very quickly, and got a replacement shade sent out right away. The customer service person handling my case actually called my house personally to tell me that the new shade had shipped. Although I'm happy to do everything via internet/email, it was a very nice touch to have that personal contact.I'm a customer for life at Overstock, because I know they will always stand by their products and provide great customer service if anything does go wrong in the transaction.

I bought this lamp to match a larger lamp I found on OS. It is very nice. The light it gives is just right. It was easy to "assemble". I am now looking for floor lamps like this. I am pleased with my purchase.

I bought two of these lamps to put on our new end tables. They look amazing, were packed well, and were easy to assemble. They look like I spent about $200 on each! Thanks overstock for another great find!!!

I purchased two of these for our living room and am very happy with them. They came well packaged and in good shape. They went together quickly (add shade and presto!).

After ordering two of these lamps, one lamp was found to be misaligned due to poor workmanship. It was sent back and reordered, not without difficulty, and a second lamp finally showed up. It too had a misalignment problem with the body of the lamp and the base at a lesser degree than the first. After all of the difficulty in shipping the item back and re-ordering we decided to keep it and forget about it.The reason for 3 stars is that the lamp looks fine from a distance and is an interesting design and given the price we decided that we got what we paid for. Hope this helps.

I looked at a lot of lamps, specifically ones with a rectangular shade. The ones I came across were very expensive. This lamp was a good price and it looks like I paid a lot more than I did. I've gotten compliments from visitors, so iIam pleased with the purchase.

This lamp was the perfect complement to my contemporary-style writing desk. Although other reviewers mentioned difficulty with reaching the on/off button, I have had no problems.

Bought this lamp after I first bought the similarly looking Mocha lamp which seems to have been manufactured by the same company. They both use the same shade material. Noticed that this lamp has a very distinct paint odor when I unpacked it today. Hope it will disappear. Also, this lamp, just like the other lamp, has this ridiculous switch under the shade itself which is hard to reach without banging the shade around. It does NOT have a socket switch as the ad states...would have been nice if it had. Also, both lamps are "so so' in workmanship, I got to bend the finial a little to make the shade sit straight. However, the shade itself is very nice, gives a very warm soft light. Also, shade itself has a lining, hence does not look so cheap as some other ones. Overall, both lamps look good. This lamp looks good together with the other one which is much taller.

I am very pleased with this lamp. I boutght two of them for my bedroom nightstands. The lamp is larger than i thought, but the quality of lamp is definitely great. I will recommend this product.

Lamps looked just like the photo and provide a presence that makes everyone think you paid decorator / boutique prices. This lamp is an exceptional value and delivers high style to any room. The build quality of the lamp body and the shade are excellent. I would recommend this purchase to anyone.

I bought the lamp as a gift to match a bed-in-a-bag set from Overstock. The giftee was my very picky 16 year old niece. She new the gifts were coming. And I was impressed with how fast they arrived...right when Overstock e-mailed me they would come. She loves them both and my sister (her mother) wants the lamp, too. She said the appearance with the patina finish and the open square shape of its base is unique and modern. I thought with the reasonable price that it might look cheap, but no, quality all the way.

I was interested in a lamp with a very modern look and this did fit the bill in that respect. Unfortunately, beyond missing pieces (finial and harp), which Overstock quickly shipped, I was underwhelmed with the lamp following assembly. My lamp was not built with precision and the shade does not sit evenly. The only reason I'm not returning it is due to difficulty in doing so. I can use it, but not in the place originally intended.

Nice lamp overall, no assembly required...the metal finishing and welding looks a bit hand made -- which is fine with me, but others may think it's a bit rough. I think the balance of design is excellent and the shade casts a warm glow.

lamp looks heavy, maybe due to black/red color-lamp shade is oblong and a shade of white-- together they make a very good lamp-lamp provides good lighting and i've had favorable comments on it-i consider it a great purchase.

Nice lamp the works perfectly in the room. The shade is a little narrow in depth making is a little tricky to maneuver your hand up inside to the switch. Other than that, it is terrific!

These lamps add elegance to my decor. Simple to put together. The finish on the lamps make it appear to be dusty, but that is just the way they are made. You have to look very closely to see the patina finish, but they are sleek and the shade compliments the lamp.The lamps have an Asian flair to them.
