Simply Chic in Tucson
dc72  from Arizona,  Nov 9, 2007
I am delighted with my new chairs. They were easy to put together. They are elegant and match perfectly with the little esspresso dining table I bought earlier. I love the rich red. The combination of dark wood with the rich red fabric creates an elegant and simple dining area for a small space. I give them a two thumbs up!

Good Value Chairs
tinacv  from Saratoaga, NY,  Nov 12, 2009
These chairs arrived in a timely fashion. They were generally easy to assemble, but required many more screws than I had imagined to attach the 4 legs. The chairs look beautiful and the fabric upholstery feels and looks to be high quality. The seat cushions could give a little more support. This is my only negative. The seat cushions compared to my other parson chairs is not as comfortable (not bad, but certainly not as deep and supportive).

Nice to see, not sit on
nyyap  from northeast,  Nov 11, 2009
It looks very beautiful, until you sit on it. Not enough padding for me. You sink into the bottom panel. Does not give enough support. Will use it for display, or emergency. Will not buy a full 6 set.

PINKISH
lizapie  from Maine,  Nov 6, 2009
I have had these on my wish list for many moons, and bought them when I bought the Udine Espresso breakfast table. I had a long time to picture them, and idealize them, and got it wrong. They are pinker than I imagined, really a whole different shade of red. To me, cranberry means a dark, maroonish red. These seem to me to be more merishino (sp?) cherry, with fuschia undertones. They also are a little broader than I pictured, a little clunkier. But for all that, I think they are a great value, and good looking if your expectations are realistic.

Absolutely beautiful!!
aufan80  from Alabama,  Oct 15, 2009
I purchased 6 red chairs for my dining room. I placed them with a rustic table my father made from an old solid wood darkly-stained door. The chairs are absolutely beautiful and very comfortable!! They have the lines and fabric texture of expensive chairs. The red is more of a rich crimson. Compliments my dining and kitchen area perfectly (dining room is a deep sage green and the kitchen is crimson...chairs are almost a perfect match and they were purchased AFTER I painted!) What luck!! Only complaint- don't use the Allen wrench that comes with the chairs...will kill your fingers and leaves blisters :-(. I tried one chair with the Allen wrench and then quickly put the remaining 5 chairs together using my power drill!! Easy to do; not complicated at all. I would not hesitate to recommend these chairs to anyone. You will be pleased.

Outstanding
coralspgs  from Coral Springs, Fl.,  Oct 2, 2009
I just got my new chairs and they are wonderful! I was a nervous wreck about ordering fron the internet without seeing them in person first because I'm an artist and color is very important to me. If a color is a little off I go crazy. I needed a red that was in the cranberry family rather than a fire engine red and that is exactly what these chairs are. They are a rich cranberry. The color of the wood is not as dark as they appear on screen. They are not expresso. They are more of a brown cherry to medium fruitwood. It's really a nice color that would blend with medium to dark wood in the room. They make my dining room sparkle! I only rated workmanship 4 stars because they have a few wrinkles in the back around the cording, but it's minor, I'm just fussy. I am sooo happy I went ahead and ordered these chairs. The reviews were the deciding factor for me after I read from everyone that the color was what I wanted. They were right on!! You can't beat these chairs for the money. I just wish I knew more about how you clean this fabric. Thank goodness I don't have small kids, just grand kids that come over once in a while. Nothing has spilled on them yet. They are comfortable and beautiful, can't beat that!!

Delightful Chairs
socalliving  from Sunny California,  Sep 15, 2009
Both our living and dining rooms have recently been remodeled. These chairs were bought in conjunction with a new octagonal glass table in the dining room. We wanted Parsons style chairs for the added comfort in the back. We had our eyes on these chairs as they fit our description and color. But before buying them we did a little checking in some of the chic stores in L.A. After seeing something that looked exactly like these, at a VERY steep price, we decided on these. We have purchased many pieces of furniture through Overstock for our remodeled areas the last couple of months and have been very satisfied. They arrived shortly after ordering them. It took our friend approx. 1 hour to do all 6 chairs. They are fabulous!! Beautifully finished in the back. The color is more of a BORDEAUX than an actual Red. The microfiber is soft and silky, but most important, kitty friendly. It's easily brushed after little paws have stepped all over. The shape of the chairs and the vibrant color have added the elegant look we wanted to create.Thank you Overstock for consistently offering such delightful pieces. We are still looking for more to finish our decorating.

chairs are very comfortable -- Color is what I expected. Only suggestion is they need casters on the bottom of the legs as they do not slide easily on carpet. Shopping was fast and putting them together was as expected. Good buy for the $$.

I purchased a set of 2 in the red. My client had a small(ish) kitchen area I was redoing. I wanted to create a fab bistro feel. I purchased the 2 red microfabric chairs to go with a 30" round black table. The color on the walls was a light yellow and the red chairs REALLY popped! I almost wanted to keep the chairs for myself. These chairs are very strudy and not wobbly at all. I highly recommend these.

Parsons Chairs
bandb350  from Philadelphia, PA,  Jul 27, 2009
We ordered these and were very skeptical about how they would look. They are fabulous and look as though we'd paid much more for them. They are a cranberry red and they look wonderful in our dinning room. They are not easy to assemble and you'll need the right tools to help you tighten the legs. My husband had to work on ensuring that the chair legs were even on each chair (some were not even) . Additionally, instead of using the Allen wrench that came with the chairs, he used the Allen wrench that came with his hand drill which made the assemply a lot easier. We love these chairs. They look much more expensive than the price we paid on Overstock.com. We highly recommend them for purchase.

Very beautiful, very sturdy, very high-end looking cranberry colored chairs. Didn't want fire engine red fabric for my new tuscan dining room; looking for a more merlot color and these are really nice. Very comfortable and they look like you would pay 2x's as much for them. I originally ordered 2 to see if they were nice and would fit in with my new renovation. They do! I recently ordered 2 more. Very, very nice. You won't be disappointed.

Love the chairs
vzee  from Scottsdale, Arizona,  Jul 15, 2009
I received 3 sets of these beautiful parsons chairs and they are perfect with my buffet and 70" round dining room table. They are the same espresso leg color as my dining table, and complement it very well. They were easy to assemble, and seem to be very sturdy. You can purchase the same chairs for far more price than what overstock is charging. This is an excellent value and they look great.

I took a leap of faith on only my second purchase from Overstock a year ago, and bought 8 chairs at once. It turned out to be a great purchase. I've read reviews recently posted, and unlike others, it took my husband and I about 2 hours to put the 8 chairs together (about 30 min each), and I wouldn't say it was exactly easy. Most of the labor was in consistently screwing and tightening all the joints. Perhaps the hardware and quality have improved since we purchase them. The chairs are a cranberry blue (red blue), which is what I expected. The legs are a nice, dark espresso brown which match our table perfectly. Maintenance is a breeze, the microfiber fabric lends to easy cleaning. Great value for the quality.

Good value
dlkcmo  from Kansas City,  Jul 2, 2009
Looks great! I got four chairs. Quality of under frame different in each chair; splinters in some, smooth in others? Able to assembly easily. Look of chairs changed the whole room. Disappointed no care information for chairs included in instructions especially since it is microsuede! Anyone have tips?

Red Chairs
susan32920  from NC,  Jun 8, 2009
I purchased 8 of the red Parsons chairs. My main concern was that the color would be more wine or burgundy and less red. I was delighted to find that the color of the chairs was very well represented on the web site. They are a blue toned red as opposed to a more orange-red. They were not particularly difficult to assemble. They are comfortable, and they look much more expensive than they were.

Cool chairs!
tone3  from Portsmouth, NH,  Jun 3, 2009
These chairs are vibrant, fun, comfortable, and sturdy. Assembly was easy, once I got into a rhythm. Make sure you separate all hardware prior to starting, since there are different sized screws. I think the red color in the photo is pretty close to the actual color, although the legs are a bit lighter in reality, which works just fine for me. So far, I have been loving these chairs!

Stunning
jwb68  from Long Island,NY,  May 17, 2009
I ordered 4 chairs - then ordered another 2 as they are slim - not bulky and my table certainly could handle 6 chairs. The color is rich - not fire engine red as one of the on-line helpers told me. I went with the other customer reviewers. I would describe as a bright, rich, cranberry that can blend with other cranberry accents - i.e my walls are a duller form of the same color and I have the Miro carpet under the table -(also from Overstock) and the colors go perfectly. The chairs are well-made and sturdy. Assembly becomes easier after you do a couple but really is not hard. The flat washers tend to stick together so make sure you do not put two on at a time...Highly recommend these chairs - they look great.
