  • Cork flooring

The product looks exactly as described. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to "snap" and stay in place. I've taken it apart and reassembled 4 times but still the flooring separates at the seams. The floor is level but due to the "floating" nature the seams separate. I'm disappointed, it's been a couple weeks and I thought I'd have it done so quickly...

Can cork flooring be used in the bathroom? lyndalee on May 7, 2012

Answer This Question

It can, however it is not recommended as bathrooms generally have higher humidity levels, and cork is also pourus so any spills will seep through. overstockcustomercare1 on May 9, 2012

Yes cork can be used in bathrooms but you should be aware that if there is a flood or excessive water spillage on the cork, you will have a problem. Contrary to the previous reply, cork is naturally non porous. It is the High Density Fiber board with the click lock system that is vulnerable to excessive water. Once the water seeps through the joints and absorbs into the fiber board it will swell and then buckle. A little water on the surface here and there will not harm or damage the cork. diyknowledge on Jul 3, 2012
