This hammock has survived eight trips to Minnesota's Boundary Waters and still looks new. I have slept in it for weeks on end, and it has also withstood the abuse of multiple high school age kids (sometimes up to four kids at once). I can't explain how nice it is to have a hammock that packs small, blocks the wind, and makes a cozy cocoon at night. I'm going to buy another one for fear that when mine wears out, they may not be in production any more.
Second one I"ve purchased!! Sadly left the first one at our old address when we moved. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this hammock. Strong enough that when the neices come over they take turns spinning each other in it, race to be the first one to get on it. Great value, VERY comfortable and Durable! I left the old one hanging outside for 2 years and it didn't show any signs of fading or wear... was very glad to see these were still being offered by Overstock.
Not what I expected at all : hard to get into, not comfortable at all. I am not using it, waste of money :(
I like the travel component of this hammock and the price. Probably won't be a luxuary hammock and since you stuff it in a pouch, it's probably not as durable as I'd like but good price, good travel component. I like it Haven't used it yet though
This hammock is made of nylon or parachute silk, but it will not fit a regular hammock rack. It has a chain only on one end, but needs one on both ends. The chain is attached to one cord only on either end, and the 2nd side of the hammock just slides down the rope of that chain, so it looks like a banana in it's skin when it is hung, and impossible to get into because it is stretched so thin. All in all it's terrible quality, costs too much to return it, and it's going in the garbage.
