Panasonic 10-cup Rice Cooker/ Steamer

The 10 cup rice cooker is for the chef who feeds 4 or more on a regular basis. While it efficiently cooks 2 scoops of rice (equal parts water), it is much more efficient to cook 4 or 5 scoops and reheat leftover rice as needed. This review is based exclusively on jasmine rice, which cooks wonderfully at 50-50 rice to water. Don't forget to rinse the rice well before cooking and soak for an hour in the cooker prior to cooking if you have time. This yields a tender grain with a good bite. If you would like a softer, stickier rice, add a little extra water. The rice cooker performs as advertised, cooks quickly and holds at a nice warm temperature. If cooking ahead and holding for longer periods of time, be sure to put your insta-read thermometer in and make sure you're mainting temps of 140 F. For two or 3 people, I would recommend the next smaller size down--this is a larger batch cooker but a great product.
