I bought these for my dining room and I love them. The price was much lower than I would have expected for the quality. They are fully lined but let some light through so even if they are closed the room has light. I would definitely recommend these, as well most of Overstock's drapes.Read More
I'm stunned at how well made these drapes are. I've had custom drapes that were not as good as these. They have weighted hems, are fully lined, perfect stitching, and the pole pocket is reinforced on the back, so it gathers nicely on the pole. The 100% cotton fabric is soft and drapes beautifully. They'll need minimal steaming. I buy nearly everything online and this is one of my top purchases ever.Read More
High quality! They were packaged well. They are lined and weighted at the bottom. There are three different ways you can hang them. My walls are painted Benjamin Moore Mocha Cream and they go well with it. I would definitely recommend these curtains - affordable but custom-looking.Read More
These draperies are very well made. They are heavy and lined, giving them just the right amount of "body" to hold and pleat nicely. The only negative comment I have is that they are about an inch and one-half longer than the sizing listed. This is not an issue for me because I don't mind the look of puddled draperies. But, if you are after a more tailored look, you may need to hem these draperies or move the position of your rod. As far as value, while the price is a bit high for Overstock, they are well worth the money and you would pay at least double or more if you ordered these from one of the higher end home stores. Lastly, I also want to advise readers that the color of these draperies isn't really beige, as listed. The color is more of a taupe and a bright white. Again, no issue for me since my bedroom walls are freshly painted in taupe!Read More
I was so happy with the way these curtains were packaged, I knew by the packaging that this was a great purchase. The panels went up with no ironing or steaming at all. They are lined like custom made panels would be. I did order the 96 inch panels and they are puddling a small amount on the floor but it looks like I spent a lot more on them.. I could not be happier with this purchase..Read More
I needed long curtains for my family room, which isn't too contemporary. These added a touch of style and are solid, yet let some light through. I think these would match most decors.Read More
I bought these curtains for a large window so they were going to be a dominant feature in the room, and therefore had to look good. They arrived super quick, and nicely packaged so they were pretty much ready to hang straight away. Small creases had dropped out by the next morning. I knew that I really liked them as they complimented the existing furnishings and in fact made what I already had look upgraded! The quality is remarkable and looks far more expensive than what I actually paid (I'm not suggesting you put up the price guys....I'm planning on buying more!). But the REAL seal of approval came from my husband, who never notices anything and does not appear to have any thought process regarding fabrics, simply said "wow"!Read More

How to Adjust Tension Rods
Curtains are a great way to accent the decor in every room in the house. Tension rods, also called spring rods, are curtain hardware which allow you to hang window curtains, wall curtains or shower curtains without installing curtain rod hardware on the walls. If an existing tension rod slips or if you want to change the curtain panels or add curtain rings, you may need to remove and adjust the rod before putting it back in place. Tension rods are positioned between two facing surfaces, such as the interior frame of a window or the opposing sides of a shower cubicle.
How to Hang a Valance and Curtains
Hanging a valance and curtains over your window will add dimension, texture and style to any room. Window curtains with a valance give your window treatments a finished, designer look. If you want to block out light, a valance and full-length blackout panel curtain is your best choice. If you are more interested in decoration and only need to block minimal light, then a valance over sheer curtains is a good choice. It's important to measure the window and decide what type of curtains you want before you buy the curtain hardware. A cafe rod will be sufficient to support a sheer curtain, but you will need a stronger curtain rod to support heavier fabrics such as blackout panels. Also, the larger the window, the sturdier the curtain rod will need to be.
