    I love that this doesn't jump out on the front of my home from the street, and my HOA is very happy with the look. I also like that it covers the area needed but doesn't block out the light, although it does filter it nicely.

    I had two handy men over today and they installed this awning in two hours. There was a problem where the plastic covers for the top of the brackets would not stay on. An older review had the same issue - they just discarded the defective plastic parts, so we did the same. Hope it holds up without those. It looks fantastic, even on a Cape Cod traditional exterior it just works great.

    for installation beware that you must have backing in exactly the right spots. shouldn't be a problem for new houses with a 12" header over the door, but could be.
