it's a little more work then i had imagined. the bulb is at the bottom of the stand which is filled with water. it is a little tricky and annoying to deal with that. also it doesn't really provide a lot of light. it is really more of a night light. it is pretty cool though. my son really is fascinated by it. i would give it a 5 star rating, but i didn't really feel that i was properly prepared. (could be my fault)

The pump on this lamp sounds like a vuvuzela concerto. The palm fronds don't sit straight, either. It looks cool otherwise, but I suspect there's a garage sale not that far off in its future.

Easy to put together. Placed in our "Key West " style guest room. The bubble lamp gave us the finishing touch for this tropically themed bedroom. Everyone loves watching the fish go up and down. Suggestion: Place lamp on a small rug to absorb vibration sounds.

This is a great lamp to add some tropical flair to a room. I purchased it for our Game Room and it looks great. The kids love it with the fish that move up and down the lamp with the bubbles. Easy to assemble with mutliple colors to choose from for the lighting effects. Weighted base helps with the stability. Very happy with the purchase.

I ordered this as a gift for our kids. We are re-doing a portion of our basement in a beach-like theme and this lamp will be the centerpiece of the room. It is a fun, cool, and somewhat inexpensive way to create a tropical atmosphere. We have not assembled it, as it is a Christmas gift - but we have taken it out and examined it and it looks to be high quality. It comes with clear instructions and the only thing you need to add is distilled water. It is geared towards kids/young adults and we love the way it looks! There is an order form included for additional parts or extra fish should you need them in the future.
