This is a great size if you need to carry something more than a couple of six packs of soft drinks. It works good. The instructions on how to switch from cold to warm were a little confusing, but I eventually figured out where to switch over if you need your food warm (on the cord itself, not on the wires inside the unit as the illustration seems to indicate).
We live in an part of the U.S. that has temp. of 105 and above for most of the summer. The cooler was purchased to hold the frozen and cold items cooler than the inside of our car which has got up to 150 many times. We live 16 miles from Yuma AZ. The temp of the inside of the cooler when we get home is around 65. This may not sound as if the cooler is working, but it is 40 degrees colder than it would have been with out it.
