When the stand came, it came in 2 HUGE boxes. The directions were fairly easy to follow to put it together. I would say that the problem arose that I had to manipulate and unpack/move the boxes by myself and they were VERY heavy. When I opened the boxes they were packaged well. The price was definitely lower because it takes a lot of hard work for 1 person to move it and put it together without nicking or scratching either piece. I still haven't screwed the two pieces together as there weren't very specific instructions as to how to do that. So the black piece sits upon the lower piece for now. It is difficult to open the drawers without holding the handles with both hands. They tend to stick and takes a little more effort to open properly. But, overall it is impressive looking and I'm glad I have it for the storage of video games for the family.

The lacquer is not really beige like I had hoped from the description. It has a slight pink tone to it, which clashed horribly with my mushroom-colored sofa. The drawers were difficult to open, as if they are stuck. The lacquer was damaged, so there was a part right on the front of the drawer that was dull and discolored. Very disappointed in Modloft and the quality of their products. I would never buy anything from Modloft again. Their customer service is deplorable.

This is the second product I have ordered from Modloft and super happy with the product. Looks absolutely beautiful. Was willing to spend thousands on an Italian product but when I saw this piece, I fell in love. The price was outstanding especially given the quality of the product. Soft closure, high grade lacquer, elegant design.....cannot say enough. Makes a home looks absolutely gorgeous and rich.
