I love the look of these blinds, and the fact they hang from ordinary curtain rods. So, so easy to hang right out of the box. Be forewarned, these ARE NOT completely light-blocking. I ordered the white, and they do let in quite a bit of light, but that is exactly what I wanted. Great for a small or dark room. Other colors might block more light.I also love the comtemporary look of the horizontal seams, and the fabric looks like a roman shade when in the 'up' position. As with other shades/blinds, you can lock the shade up or down by pulling the cord to the far left or right. The pull mechanism is on the right side of each panel, ( your right, as you look at the panel), which could be a bit of a bummer if that makes it hard to reach in your setting. The string in the pull mechanism is lightweight, so I doubt the pull mechanism would survive, say, a teenage boy pulling them open and closed each day. The mechanism, in my opinion, is best for light usage. If not for that, I'd give these blinds a 5 star rating.Shipping was super fast!
This was a no-brainer! Easily mounted; wrinkles fell out with 2-3 hours; works easily. It took me longer to get down the existing mini-blind and hardware than it did to get this shade up! I have it in a bathroom and it's absolutely perfect. Now I'm saving money to buy some for my 4 bedroom windows, but need 2 wider widths and 2 narrower widths. Delivery was a little slow, but I noticed that this didn't come from the Overstock warehouse but from the manufacturer. However, great value, terrific materials, easy "assembly." No downside here! Works in my world!
This blind was exactly what I needed and could not find locally. The only problem is the appearance is not perfect. There is a flaw in the top panel that shows at all times, I guess you could call it character and that's why I didn't send it back. Also, my husband already installed in and so we just let it go. Just my luck that the flaw isn't in the lower part and would not be seen. The other thing is that it is hard to get the folds to look level. I'm not sure if the pulley's are off, or if the fabric is just more wrinkled on one side. Still working on that one. The rod pocket is very wide, so buying a rod should take that into consideration. All being said, I like to blind and think that the flaw is probably random .
I purchased these for a bedroom. I bought the linen color - it is more khaki and the panels have thick seams running width-wise. The pulling mechanism is not the greatest construction. The curtains are functional but not as attractive as the picture looks and I am using them in the utility room instead.
The pull chords are not secured to the header rail securely. Both screws fell out before I ever hung it. I had to use bigger screws and wood glue to repair. It does look nice and is perfect for my door's window.
I'm always worried about picking something online when it comes to colors. You never know if it will be a good color match. This worked great and it went up real easy. My husband was out of town and I was able to put up both by myself in about 30 minutes including drilling all the holes. My kind of project.
I love these curtains. I got them in white. They can be put up on a tension rod, and provide a clean look with easy installation. I also love that the curtain itself has a buttoned tab for securing and hiding the cord, so it's not necessary to mount hardware on the window in order to secure the cord. Great!
Color and quality of fabric not quite perfect, but an inexpensive solution for privacy while letting some light through.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? A little off
I have a basement with small windows that our neighbors can peer into. They're recessed so I wasn't sure how to get privacy without puffy cafe curtains, a look I hate. I was so glad to find these self-contained roman blinds that work with a spring/tension rod. They look crisp and do the job really well. I've had them up for more than a year. Note that we don't open & close them often; if we needed to do that then the tension rod might start slipping over time - but that's the cost of using tension rods in general.
All in all it is made well and I like the concept. The color is a ginger color so it does not look all that great against taupe and white, but it is for my laundry room and it will be fine there. I think the other colors would have been more attractive. But it works for me.
Got these quickly and they went up very easily! Thinking about using them in other rooms too.
I ordered two of these for a big window I have in my living room. When they arrived they were not what I expected, a bit too thin and flimsy for my taste. I prefer thicker heavier feeling and looking shades, so I am sending these back. These would work for patios but not for living rooms or bedrooms in my opinion.
Once again, Overstock.com did not disappoint but delivered the goods just as expected. I bought two of the Oxford Magic 64-inch blinds in Paprika for my kitchen and they look superb. Installation was easy and merchandise was of excellent quality! Several visitors to my home have commented how they would love to get one themselves. I highly recommend both the blinds and the on-time, no hassle, always super cheap Overstock.com shipping order fee.
Love these !! Before I decided on buying these, I read previous reviews, and decided to go for it! The color is perfect! (I got the Paprika) It's a perfect match to an accent wall, so the other side of the room where the windows are echoes the color! I used tension rods to put mine in the window frame, and it works beautifully! They are a little darker than light filtering, just right! For safety I make sure the cord is wound up and fixed at the top back of the blind, as I have a cat who loves to sit in the window. I may eventually change the button-loop to a velcro closure to make it a little easier, but it's a great feature! I'm very happy with these, I've had them since August, and they were the perfect treatment for my windows, they really pull the room together! Thanks for a great look and a great price, too!
Easy to hang, looks good, would buy again. I starched mine and they look even better,

I will be returning this shade. The locking mechanisim doesn't work.
The directions were a fit difficult to follow to complete the installation, but, I suspect that's just me. The product is a good one and I would defintely recommend it. The color ordered was exactly as I pictured it when received.
I used this in my semi-modern bathroom. Looks great, easy to move up and down. Would definitely buy more.
I bought this for my mom. She needed something to hang on her door to keep the sun out. It works well, no hardware to mess up the door. It keeps out the sun without being dark. This won't block out the sun but I didn't want to make it dark, just cut some of the glare.
