It was just what I ordered at a fair price. delivery was a problem for such a large item though, I had to phone a delivery manager to get the delivery day fixed.
We couldn't be more pleased. The rug looks and feels amazing. We bought a cheap rug pad to go under it, and it feels amazing. It did ship folded, not in a roll. We were worried about it showing wrinkles from shipping this way, but in 24 hours all were gone. We could not be happier with this rug at this price. The beige is actually two different colors of yarn, which is what we hoped for because this helps hide stains over time. It is very soft and we already love laying on it. We did not find it put off any strong odors, in fact less than new carpet normally does. No shedding either as some new carpets do. LOVE IT!
I'm always wary about ordering things online, but this rug is absolutely beautiful!! Online it looks very gold and a deep red. In person it is a deep burgundy and what comes through as gold is really a beigy cream color. The border is a deep black, which is gorgeous! The other colors in the rug are camel, sage green, slate blue, light brown, grey... the colors are great because there are light greens, greys, blues, etc, but also deeper versions of those colors, making the rug very versatile! We put the rug in our great room and we have received compliments from everyone who comes into our home - even a vendor who owns a rug shop (who guessed we had paid $3 - 5K for it)!! As a side note, like a previous reviewer mentioned, we also received the rug with a small slit in the backing. As it didn't go through the rug, we put carpet tape on the back to keep it from getting any bigger. We've had the rug for about 6 months now and the slit hasn't been a problem! I couldn't put the rug down right away so it stayed folded and rolled (the way it came). Now, it's been down a week and all the fold marks are gone and it's quite lovely. My walls and wood floors are on the dark side and my intent was to brighten things up a little and the rug made it happen. Someday I'll paint my walls but I know it'll still look great. I had some trouble with delivery, I had to pick up the rug myself because it was too heavy to be delivered.... I contacted OS customer service and they worked with me and made things right. The rug sheds a little but so do my dogs so I vacuum regularly.
The colors pop and the thick wool rug is beautiful in front of the fireplace. It added a richness to the brown and red bricks that really warm up the room. A favorite spot for the dog to hang out in the evening.
