  Very pretty rug. As for Oriental design, very large and open blocks of color. I compare it to looking at American stained glass versus antique European Stained glass windows which are much more intricate with less wide open color. In choosing a rug (hind sight suggestion), actually count how many repeated motifs are in the border. I kept focusing on the color and when I now compare this rug with the other I was looking at, I realize that 5-7 motifs along the edge of a 12' rug will leave wide open background color and be blockier. Rugs that are difficult to distinguish on the screen have more of the antique look with intricate design.

  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? wish the colors had shown more accurately. The picture depicts a delicate pattern and this is bold and bright

  The rug looks very nice with soft colors. It smelled like a musty canvas tent though. That is the only thing I can think of to describe the bad smell. I used several odor ban type fabric sprays but it still smells and I have had it for at least six months. This rug must have been stored in a damp area. If you order the rug and it smells really bad like mildew it probably won't go away, because mine didn't.

  I fell in love with this area run online but was nervous if the colors would be true. They are and the quality is excellent! I am so glad I paid attention to the review that was aready here. The colors are definitely "muted" which is exactly what I was looking for.

  The photo shows the rug to be a little lighter in color than the actual rug. I appreciate the fact that it has so many colors. However, I was under the impression there would be more red on it, but is actually burgundy. Overall, I am satisfied and would recommend this product.
