We love our over-sized comforter. We needed a larger one to fit our duvet cover, so this worked out perfectly. We live in NYC, and it's plenty of warmth in the winter, but not too heavy. Great quality as well. The only "drawback" is that the appearance is more ivory than white, and the stripes are thinner and rather shiny. Its not a big deal for us, because we're putting in a duvet cover. But if you want to use it without a cover, plan accordingly.
My wife spent several hundred dollars on a comforter, duvet cover and a sheet set. The comforter was ruined by our two cats. I had wanted to replace the comforter, but didn¿t want to spend that much money. After looking at the comforter on OverStock.Com, I found what I was looking for. The day of arrival was one of the cooler days in San Diego, and the night was going to be cooler as well. I slept like a baby under my new comforter. I recommend this to everyone that wants a great comforter at an outstanding price.
I JUST LOVE this comforter. It's perfect not too warm, great weight, no poke throughs of feathers, fluffs up beautifully every morning............sooooooooooooooooo soft and comfty!!!!!
This comforter looks nothing like the picture and mine smelled extremely offensive after being aired out for weeks!
I received my comforter promptly--within a few days of ordering it. It fluffed up quickly, but I did put it in the dryer with a fabric softener sheet, on a cool setting, to eliminate the "wet bird" smell. It is quite warm and cozy. Although it doesn't appear this way in the photo, the stripes in the fabric are shiny. This is the only thing I didn't love about the comforter. However, I placed a duvet cover on it, and the problem was solved. All in all, I would recommend this product.
