This is a perfect year round comforter - I live in Florida, and of course have a/c, so don't find this comforter too warm in the summer. It is not only attractive, but very comfortable. It fluffs up to a reasonable degree - if it were any fluffier (more fill) it would probably be too warm for the average sleep environment. It's a bit bigger than the last oversized comforter I had - not enormous but does hang down about 5-6" on each side of my king size bed. I wish someone would make a truly oversized comforter, but in the meantime, this is the largest I've found.
This comforter is warmer than I thought it would be, which is great! It has good fluff in part thanks to the gusset around the edges. I considered purchasing the heavy weight version of this comforter, but in a temperate climate this is perfect for a couple. I use the king size on a queen bed and there is plenty of covers on each side of the bed which is what I wanted. The smell is definitely down, but not too overpowering, especially once a duvet cover is on it.
I purchased this particular comforter after reading the reviews that it fluffs up nicely so I was expecting this oversized comforter to have more fill. In other words don't expect it to fluff up more than a couple of inches. I was disappointed with the size. It is described as "oversized." It did not fill my duvet unfortunately. It is however very warm so if you are looking for a good winter comforter this is the one but it is not an all season comforter.
