If you like putting together puzzles then you will like doing this. There were about 50 pieces, but all were numbered. The directions were very simplistic - pictures & numbers. You will need a power drill/screwdriver as not all the holes are drilled. One piece was splintered, but I was able to glue & redrill it. I would suggest using a bottle of wood glue to prevent future wiggling/loosening. The drawers are not on glides, so slide them in & out carefully. Almost the most time consuming part was getting the "contact-like" covering off the metal countertop. It came off in small pieces(like wallpaper). When I heated it up with a hairdryer it came off a little better. It meets our needs on our outdoor porch and looks good.
The styling and concept of this piece is good and not matched in other things I could find on-line. It is relatively easy to assemble (with an electronic screw driver) and two smart young men. However, it is of only fair quality The wood had some shoddy and splintered pieces. The stainless top was dented and stained on the edges as the packaging was not very well padded. If this piece were less expensive, then it would be closer in line with what one would expect. This is not a $500 piece of furniture--indoor or outdoor.
