rayno75 this Is a good product if you just want a unit that's not too big, controls are not like the old one we had, but I've gotten used to it. I have no counter space,(it sit's on a microwave cart). Just be sure it has vent room, It is beginning to make a little noise as the turntable moves,we've had it for several months now. Still does a good job, an I use it for most of my cooking meals.

pat a good unit; it works well. but i wish the timer rang for a longer beeeeep, and that it were easier to see thru the window to watch the food cooking. sometimes the glass plate sounds like it is rattling but it doesn't seem to affect the function.

I was looking for a white microwave oven that didn't look too modern. (We live in an old house with a 1930s-40s decor.) I wanted good quality, and Oster is a brand name I trust. This model got 4+ stars from customer reviews, so it was a no-brainer. Another factor was that it has 1,000 watts of power, even though it's a smaller size; most smaller microwaves have only 900 or 700 watts.
