Upon moving into our apartment we realized the living room did not have a light! We were really bummed since we loved the apartment, but it definitely was no dealbreaker because we figured we could get a floor lamp. Upon shopping for one, I realized many only gave off a low light that gave the room only a glow. We needed something to light up the room. we had a small lamp on the side tables to do the job of a low glow. This floor lamp certainly does the job and am more than pleased! It takes two 100 watt bulbs so our room is nice and bright now. The on/off button on the bottom of the lamp is an added plus since all u need to do is push with your feet to turn the lamp on. It took awhile to assemble with its many parts but at the end was well worth the effort. It is also very sturdy so we dont need to worry about our toddler knocking it over. The package it came in said it weighed 26 lbs! Overall, excellent lamp and does the job of lighting up a room. if you want a dimmer light, put in 60 watts.

This floor lamp does not look as good in person as it does online. It also does not seem to stand straight, and when you move it, parts come loose. For the price, the quality just is not there, in my opinion. It would also look better if it were not so shiny.

It is taller than expected but still works in the area I needed it for. I placed 2 60 watt energy effficent lamps in it. I would have preferred polished brass, but the satin finish also works.

Very pleased with the purchase. The assemby direction were not clear. We began from the top down and this works very well.

Assembly instructions are not helpful, yet task is manageable. It is hard to make the lamp straight-looking. Overall appearance is kind of heavy.

Lamp looks great! We are using it in a large (16' x 25') family room. Lighting is very ample and with the step on/off easy to use. Assembly reasonable-instructions could be more user friendly. Already family and friends have remarked (positively) on clean lines and style of lamp. Shelves are small and can only accommodate smaller items.

The lamp arrived very quickly after I placed the order. I anticipated that it would be difficult to assemble based on comments I had read. It was not difficult at all. It is a very heavy and sturdy lamp that has a very elegant appearance. I wish the light was a bit brighter as I have a large room, but I am not unhappy with it at all.

This lamp was just what we needed! It only took my husband 30 minutes or less to put together. Very attractive additon to our living room and it was packaged so that nothing was damaged. I would recommed it to anyone. Thanks!!

Much classier than I thought it would be. I bought it for my gameroom and it would look much better in a more formal room. But it is a beautiful lamp and was pretty easy assembly.

This is a great looking lamp. It takes up a small amount of space and it lights up the room beautifully because this lamp actually take 2-100watt bulbs instead of 1 stated in the description. Great buy!
