Nice kettle
from Orcutt, California,  May 13, 2007

The workmanship of this kettle is quite nice. The lid fits securely into the pot and the whistle seals as it should. The whistle is not overly loud or shrill. The insulated handle minimizes heat transfer. Very nice!

This is a great kettle, nice large container. I like that the lid lifts off. The whistle works nicely. It heats up pretty fast. All in all a great purchase.

Whistling Tea Kettle
from Brooklyn, NY,  Nov 16, 2009

This Tea Kettle was the worst I ever had. If the top isn't on just right, it don't whistle! Then what ends up happening is the water burns out and the dam thing MELTS!.Simply awful!.

Great Kettle for heavy use
from Miami, FL,  Nov 1, 2009

This is a well built kettle for anyone who wants to use it alot. I boil about 4 to 5 kettles of water a day and this one has held up very well. The size, color, and design are also fantastic. My only complaint is the whistle. At the beginning it wasn't very loud. I had to stay in the kitchen to hear it. But it seems to be getting louder with continued use.

Orbit Tea Kettle
 Jun 19, 2009

This is my second identical Orbit Kettle.Even though I'm still mostly using the first one, it looks a little rough. Somebody left it on high heat and burned some of the enamel around the bottom. I'll use the new one when I want to impress somebody. These Kettles are top Quallity. I keep hot water in my Tea Kettle for about 6 hours of every day and am very satisfied with the durability and other attributes. Thanks,tp

Whistle Doesn't Work
from San Francisco,  Dec 11, 2008

I bought this kettle because of the rave reviews, but it took us MONTHS to get the whistle to work and right after we did, the metal hinge snapped off. Totally not worth it.

Terrible product. The spout broke within one week....I would definitely not recommend it.

Perfect
 from PA,  Mar 20, 2008

We were looking for a new kettle (this will be our fourth in 10 years). I really wanted to add some color to my beige/brown/cream kitchen, this is a wonderful dark blue (happens to be the same color as my Cooks blue toaster). This is also the first time we notice we CAN hear the whistle. :-) Better than expected and simply *perfect*

whistling teakettle
 from Texas,  Mar 1, 2008

I was a little disappointed in the handle on the teapot...seemed a little cheap to me...plastic with the ridge where the mold came together is prominent. I do like the looks of it overall. The spout lid gets hot and so open with caution when pouring.

Super
 Jan 14, 2008

I am happy with this whistling tea kettle. I was concerned about the review that said it did not whistle. When I first used mine it did not whistle, then I realized the lid was not on properly, now it's whistling away. It has a nice large base, it heats up quickly and has a high quality look. As you can tell, I would buy it again.

Whistling Tea Kettle
 from California,  Aug 28, 2007

Great product Overstock. This is not a cheapo quality tea kettle. It has a nice substantial feel to it. The color is a nice blue and coordinates with my kitchen nicely. Other reviewers mentioned the whistle as not being loud; it is when not attended to right away!! The only complaint I have is that the handle does not move but I guess that is good from a safety standpoint and I can live with it.

Matte Finish is really different.
 from OK,  Jul 27, 2007

This teapot has a taller look than you see in the pictures and I liked that. Also, the blue finish is kind of a matte finish but has some sparkles in it too. Very good looking. Hard to fill through spout but the screen that makes that so, keeps it from overboiling and making a mess. This is a great feature, just not used to the different way to fill. If you don't get the lid pushed down good, the whistler may not work. Over all, very nice and the price was great for this one. I love the chrome and blue combo. Very chic addition to my beautiful kitchen.

great tea kettle
from Houston, TX,  Jul 23, 2007

This whistling tea kettle is great. Nice design, good workmanship and heats up quickly. It is very sturdy and well made. It might be a bit on the heavy side for some, but that is due to the high quality of stainless steel used. Also the color is a darker blue than pictured, thereby making it look almost black at times. Still a good kettle.

Orbit 2.5-liter Whistling Tea Kettle

I am very pleased with the quality. It looks like a tea kettle you would find in a very expensive store. I would recommed this product to family and friends.

Classic, Attractive and Durable
 from PA,  Mar 30, 2007

This is a wonderful kettle (mine arrived with a few scratches). The deep blue complements my kitchen colors, the interior won't rust or acquire mineral build-up, and the enamel makes the exterior simple to clean. The whistle is strong and loud! What I really like is that the enamel is NOT on the bottom, so it never comes into contact with heat and won't crack or peel. The whistle is conveniently attached, I just use an oven mitt to open (if allowed to cool for a few minutes, that isn't necessary). No drips when pouring, and it boils quickly, too! This is a very good investment for any kitchen.
