When we received this item and pulled it out of the box, it had a broken piece. It was a flimsy plastic piece on the top of the umbrella pole. There was other plastic pieces on this umbrella also that were of the same plastic. The color was great but the canvas was very thin. The metal poles were so light-weight that we felt it would bend with very little wind. We sent it back . I have purchased and am still using another umbrella from Overstock that is outstanding and very durable but I wouldn't of trusted this one.

We bought this umbrella in June along with Calabria Arm Chairs and Rectangular Aluminum Outdoor Table. I was the most hesitant about the umbrella purchase because of the other so-so reviews, but I loved the orange, so i took the plunge. Yes, it is a little on the cheaply made side, but for the price, it is is fabulous value and it is still a very nice umbrella. It is huge, covers the entire table and the bright orange is gorgeous. Its easy to open and close. I just don't see how you can beat this price for what you are getting. We close it every night so it doesn't get damaged by wind and so far its held up very well. We just didn't want to spend $400 or so on a umbrella, so we are extremely happy with this purchase. I only gave it three stars for durability because we've only had it a month. It will be interesting to see if it holds up well in a year.

Someone else posted a review where the tilt mechanism broke, mine did to. Normal, afternoon breeze, one day it was tilted a bit, I put it straight, that lasted one day, the next day the who tilt mechanism shattered, couldn't get the umbrella down, what a mess, I don't recommend these at all, and if you do get them, put them down EVERY time they are not in use!

We love sitting on the Deck but the sun is so bright... This umbrella was great for about 5 days then the tilt mechanism totally broke. The "metal" button to make the umbrella tilt shattered like a clay pot and the springs came out. Now we are back to having BRIGHT HOT SUN and no shade. We are so discouraged. I guess we got what we paid for.

Beautiful TerraCotta color!Huge umbrella really provides lots of shade during those really hot California days.The hand crank is easy to operate, is very sturdy and is a really nice Bronze color.The CONS: It's only been 4 months and I notice the really nice, bright TerraCotta color of the fabric has faded. The drop edge of fabric is still bright and colorful but the main part of the fabric has faded considerably.For the price, if this umbrella lasts a couple seasons, without having that tacky, faded or shredded appearance, then I guess I can recommend it.

I love the color, size, shape of my new patio umbrella and it is very easy to open/close. Our first shipment arrived with the shaft completely cracked at the point where the upper pole was inserted into the bottom portion. The packaging for this umbrella was pretty damaged, so we suspected this may have occurred during shipment. As, usual, Overstock was wonderful to work with regarding returns/damaged items. We received replacement very quickly and hassle free. However, the replacemnt also has "stress cracks" along the same shaft area, although not cracked through. We decided, to take our chances - the price was right and, as I mentioned, we love the style. We will probably not use the tilt mechanism, and plan to close nightly, to extend its life.

This umbrella is HUGE. For the price, if you take it down when not in use, it's a decent value. I would not recommend this product for daily use. The fabric is lightweight and the mechanism is plastic.

we received umbrella in the wrong color. It broke the second time we used it. We received a replacement umbrella in the correct color. This one lasted a few days and broke in half in a moderate wind.

On first day of use, the tilting mechanism broke, causing the umbrella to fall from the pole. Not typical Overstock quality. Umbrella material too thin.

The crank was hard to turn and feels like it could break at anytine. I liked the color but I think it is not well constructed.

I love my orange umbrella. It is a very "quiet" orange, not bright at all, and it is HUGE! Very easy to crank-we love it!

I have two of these umbrellas and during a recent windstorm, when the umbrellas tipped over, the spokes of the umbrella completely bent. When I tried to bend them back, they broke. The umbrellas is only a few weeks old. I have duct taped the spokes together but the umrella looks funny. Definitely flimsy if you have a windy area...

I love the patio umbrellas I purchased--the color matched my furniture better than I expected and the price was very reasonable. The crank is easy to handle and it allows for perfect shade anytime of the day.

Make certain that you have a lot of room for this umbrella as it's HUGE - WE LOVE IT. The color was spot on and this was an excellent addition to our new home!
