Just put together last night. Very well thought out and made shelf. All finishes were excellent with no flaws or damage of any kind. Its modern chunky in a nice way. Sort of wish I picked the white as dusting as on all dark furniture will be an issue. If you like the picture and size , you wont be disappointed

This is the perfect bookshelf for a small apartment. The open style is very modern and airy, yet the entire piece is really solid. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the high quality and sturdiness once assembled. It was relatively simple to assemble. I love that the top shelf is open so you can store tall pieces that might not fit on a standard bookshelf. Overall, I highly recommend this bookshelf!

This is a really nice bookcase especially for the money. It's solid wood and well made, was easy to assemble...did it alone in about 45 min..I put it in my guest bath because we don't have a linen closet..It works great with storage baskets for added appeal.

Just moved into a new apartment and wanted to complete a pretty, traditional living room picture. Purchased two bookcases and installed them side by side. They look great! Stand sturdy. Beautiful wood finish. A friend put them together for me - took a very short time for each one - and we had them in place in less than two hours. I am very happy with this purchase!

These shelves were quality made for an assemble yourself type shelf. Very sturdy and look great too! My seventeen year old put them together within a 1/2 hour, but the instructions could use a little improvement.

This bookcase is a great addition to our living room. It matched our other espresso furniture perfectly. It was not too difficult to put together - it took my husband maybe an hour or an hour and a half - but it did take some muscle. Really happy with the purchase!

These bookcases are OUTSTANDING! i bought 2 of them, attached them together and now have a beautiful wooden bookcase in my front window where I display my glass, crystal and plants. They have changed the look of my living room. it is amazing how wonderful they look. As for putting them together, I am a 62 year old female and they took me a total of 3 hours to put the 2 together. Couldn't have been any easier. As for how my order was handled by Overstock. Com, I ordered these bookcases on Sunday afternoon (January 8th) and they showed up at my door at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning (January 13th), It was really amazing how fast they arrived and I had them put together before my husband came home from work. This bookshelf its a great addition to my home office. It is NOT, however, for the person who needs serious book storage space as many average-sized books can't be propped against the ends of the shelves which, as you should notice, have large open spaces, so books can fall through. (I used some bookends to solve that small problem). Mixed use is best. For me that means some books, some photos and some special "pieces" all of which are now attractively displayed on my expensive-looking bookshelves. By thee way, assembly was simple, taking approx. 45 minutes to put together.

The unit came packaged well and undamaged. The directions recommend two people for assembly, but I assembled the shelves myself in about 40 minutes. Everything went together as directed, and the resulting shelves are solid and attractive. Excellent price, and exactly what I was looking for.

Simple sturdy shelf. The size is great because it isn't large and over bearing like a lot of shelf units I've seen. However I might need another one because I have more books than this can hold haha. The assembly is super easy and the bolts they provide are huge and strong. I love threaded inserts. There are two of the twist lock bolt thing for the top piece (which I hate) but they aren't load bearing so it doesn't matter. Probably going to buy another one.

These shelves are so nice! They're solid, they're the right color, and they have nice clean lines for a really great look. Also, you really can't beat the price. Compare them to similar shelves at WE for $500, and I bet these are a whole lot nicer. You do have to put them together, which is a little bit of a drag, but it's easy and takes only 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend buying these.

This bookshelf is fantastic! It has clean, modern lines. It was easy to put together with the exception of one hole which was not drilled all the way through on one shelf (I had my husband do it).
