I am using this iron for quilting and I don't use steam for that purpose, so I cannot speak as to the steam capabilities of the iron. I don't think it gets quite as hot on the cotton setting as my old Rowenta did. The automatic lift feature is nice, but I did speak to a lady who said that hers stopped working, so I'm going to make sure to keep all of my paperwork. The 30 minute time period before the auto shut-off is also really nice for when I'm working on quilting.

I purchased this iron after seeing Jenny on the Missouri Star Company's website. I thought it would be a great to have since I do a lot of quilt piecing. I really do like the way it heats up quickly and is always ready to use. Great product.

This is a great iron for extended use. Once you get used to to the retracting feature it is wonderful. Cord is long in length which is a plus. This is not an iron to be used for quickly pressing one small item it is better used for a longer period of time. However it is a great iron.

The iron is sturdy and not too heavy and I love that I don't have to stand it up. I keep it plugged in while I am quilting and it shuts itself off but quickly heats up when I am ready to use it. The thermostat is easy to set and is very accurate. I have owned some quality irons over the years but this is my favorite. My cat knocked the iron onto the floor while I was at work and when I went to use it, it was just fine. I use the reverse osmosis drinking water in it and have not had any problems with the steam.

The iron is great. I checked on line and the "O's" price was the best. Great for quilters. Just put it down and the stand pop's up. Cool.

This is a great iron! I actually iron the way this iron works, but, now I don't have to hurry and rearrange my item that I am ironing so that I don't scorch my ironing board cover. In other reviews I have read ppl complain about the price. I have searched and searched the net, outlet stores and etc. The big "O" beat everybody hands down. I recomend Overstock to Everybody that asks "Hey, where can I find a good deal on. . . "

I saw this iron in action at a display booth a quilt show last fall and thought, while incredible, it was very expensive. Since then, I mentioned to my husband and parents how cool this iron looked. Both bought me different steam irons for Christmas. Both were duds. I finally decided to return the cheap irons and pony up the extra money to buy this iron. I must say, it has been worth every penny! It's smooth! It's fast! The steamer really does project and pulls the most stubborn wrinkles out of the thickest suit coats. I honestly love this iron and am SO very glad I bought it!

The iron is a bit expensive, but seems worth the price for someone who does a lot of ironing and/or sewing.

I like the iron a lot . I have been using it now for about 3 weeks and i love it.

This is a great iron! It does just what I expect an iron to do - get hot, lots of stream and irons everything neatly without grabbing or scorcing the fabric. It does take some getting used to leaving it down - but I do remember to put it down if I see it left up. I am so glad I brought it.

I never would have believed I could love an iron! This iron is perfect for the seamstress. It heats up quickly and does not leak a drop.

the iron was shipped very fast and in good condition ,my wife has really enjoyed using the iron and how fast it heats up she really likes the safety features about the iron and is really starting to get use to it

So far so good. I use it everyday and delivers what is advertised. Hopefully it will outlast my other irons.

I love my new Oliso TG 1600 Smart Iron. It is stylish and has high performance. The first time out of the box I knew we would be long time companions. I have it set up in my sewing room, there is no way the maid will ever get to use this baby. The steam vents emit just the right amount of steam giving me the desired seam press that I need. I'd highly recommend this iron. Great work Oliso, you have a real winner.
