I owned a rowenta iron and lost most of my possessions in a flood a few months back. I ordered a steam iron from rowenta and returned it because I wasn't happy with it. I ordered this Oliso iron and absolutely love it. I iron every day for work. I had never even heard of this brand, but once I did research found it to be a reliable brand, so I took a chance. I really like that it has an auto-off feature. I try to remember to unplug but there a some days when I'm running late and forget. The other best feature, in my opinion, is that as soon as you take your hand off the handle, these little stands come up and lift the iron up. No chance that you could burn your clothes because you left the iron sitting on them. I would highly recommend this iron.

I liked the basic design of the product, the fact that the iron never rests on its heel but rather in the horizontal position always up on stilts when you aren't actually moving the iron. I loved the cord placement, out of the way. I liked the weight of the iron, not too heavy or clumsy. I thought the iron could have put out even more steam given it's 1800 watts. The iron had an easy to fill water holder with twice the space of a regular iron. In all I did like it better than the old style irons. I would grade it 4 stars.

I love this iron, I am allergic to dry cleaning and this iron helped me tremendously. The tricky part was to turn off the Itouch. It is more efficient than other irons because you do not need many strikes and the seaming system is very helpful. the Itouch feature is fun was well as practical.

This is a great iron if for no other reason that you can't scorch your garments by leaving the iron down too long. The little feet raise it off the garment as soon as you release the handle. It did take a little practice to get used to the iron moving up and down, but once I did it was great. There is a switch on the heel of the iron that renders the feet inactive by having the feet retract into the iron plate. Because of the lifting ability, I don't have to keep picking it up; I just leave in on the ironing board and move it when I'm ready. It's solidly built and rather large but is comfortable to use. The 10' 8' cord is great and it rotates nicely at its base; so, it doesn't get caught like other irons I have owned. I sew and need a hot iron, which I have had a hard time finding. This iron gets hot enough for pressing pieces in place with one pass. Great steaming--vertically even!!

This iron seems like a novelty when you first use it--made me laugh with it's going down when I touched it, raising when I took my hand off. However, after a short time, I fell in love with this, and not having to turn it on its end to rest. And it's in position and ready to use all the time. Recommended by a fellow quilter at a retreat--she was right, it is perfect for sewing and quilting. I price compared, and Overstock was about sixty dollars less than many sites. This is their top-of-the-line model, and I'm very happy I got this one. By the way, there is a internet video that demonstrates just how it works. Would make a great gift to anyone who sews!
