This light is semi-flush, so it hugs the ceiling. Being open at the top it throws light up, which is a big help in the upstairs foyer where I installed it. Keep in mind this light is BIG, at 12 inches across. The Prarie or Mission style looks great, yet clean lines and contemporary. I was looking for ceiling lighting with a little style for my midwestern home (Des Moines, IA), and this was a perfect fit! Very nice quality, looks great, a great bargain.

We replaced a ceiling fan with this fixture and it's wonderfully more pleasant in the room than the old fan. We'll enjoy this one for a long time and may take it with us in a few years if we move.

I purchased two of these fixtures for a hallway on a second floor in my home. We added a complete second floor to our ranch and I needed all new fixtures. As our theme upstairs is a brushed oil finish and so we were delighted with the color of this fixture. It is a classic comtemporary look and against our beautifully painted walls they look great. My electrician put them together and installed them but he had no complaints. Today I am purchasing two more for my walk-in-closet.

This is a great light-It is very well made, heavy glass. It cast a warm glow in the room that is very soothing. I will buy more of these for various locations of my home.

I install it in my bedroom, and it looks outstanding, the color is dark brown, the other reviews warn me about the heavy of the glass, and it is heavy, but is well worth it, just got to remember about the unexpected weight when changing the light bulb. I¿m so happy that I bought it, that I will order another one for the stairs!

Not enough product information on the web site. I wanted to know the actual color of the base as I was looking for black. It looked black on the picture but it was actually brown. Otherwise a great look.

Wonderful fixtures....couldn't believe the quality. Tough to install by myself, as the glass was very heavy. Well made. Purchased 2, and love them.

this item was used in a hallway in day spa, heavy glass globe will need to hung from 2x4 not just dry wall, BUT fixture high quality and very attractive

Good looking light. Only concern I have is the glass is very heavy so when changing a bulb one could be surprised by the unexpected weight.

This light fixture was a great value. The glass shade is very heavy made the old fashioned way. Even my electrician commented that they don't make them like this anymore! Great style. Very nicely packaged.
