This item was damaged during shipping. There were gouges in the framwork that I had to stain myself. Almost every screw in the hinges was coming out and some were stripped out creating much work to repair. The 45° angles cut for the scrollwork framing around the maps was cut poorly and did not match and were coming unglued. There were stained gouges in the framing giving the impression that second hand lumber was used. The unstained gouges were caused during shipping but all other problems were just inferior workmanship.Thank you.
We were looking for the "old world feel" in this piece, and I am very pleased with what arrived. Very interesting piece. Love the detail and warmth.
We were looking something to match our traditional style and this room divider looked a winner. After reading review (which was 50/50) we decided to buy. We did received an item today and we are little disappointed, this thing need some work be done: chipped wood, one of the maps is upside down, not standing still, legs need be replaced. Color is really dark red-burgundy, very waxy, cheap thin wood, otherwise does look like antique, we do like decorations and that you can see true bottom and top, colors match for us, but we don't know yet are we going to keep it or send it back, because it was no discount and a lot needs be fixed for final usage.

This is a perfect addition to our livingroom. We were looking for something with a "antique" feel that wouldn't break our budget. This worked out perfectly. The distressing on the wood really adds to the charm of this piece. Great buy. Would definitely recommend this to a friend! Thanks, Overstock!!

Very poor quality! Wood is nicked and cracking. The staining is not done well. I am so disappointed in this item! It's going back!
