Love this chandelier! We just bought an old southern home that had brass fixtures throughout (yuk!). I wanted a chandelier that looked as if it could have been the original but with a modern touch. This chandelier is PERFECT! The black is modern day yet the style is rustic and old world. We have a deep foyer and not very wide with the stairs right at the door and this chandelier looks amazing in it and lets off plenty of light (25 watt bulbs). We have elliptical transoms over the front door and dining room entrance and thought the round chandelier would look great. Couldn't be happier!

As an interior designer, I can be very picky. This is a really good looking fixture however the finish does flake easily if you are not careful. Also, mine does not hang perfectly straight. It is not too obvious and probably no one can see it but me, but I wish it were perfect. By the time the light was hung in our new home, it would have been quite an ordeal to have it taken down to be replaced, so we left it up. It is a very unique piece and looks quite nice hanging over my 60" round table in the dining room. Instead of the overdone chandelier that you might expect to see there, it has a very simple elegance and doesn't steal thunder from the other items in the room. If it hung perfectly straight and the finish were perfect, I would have given it 5 stars.

this is even more beautiful than the picture can show. the only problem is its size. it's over 3 feet wide, and hangs way low from a standard ceiling. i've got it up anyway. now i'm back on overstock, shopping for a table that sits under it in a way that will keep everyone from walking into it!!

This is a beautiful light I am very happy that I purchased it. It was a little difficult to install but it turned out nice.

We Love this! We bought it as a frame for all of the deer antlers we have - we are making our own antler chandelier with it. It couldn't be more perfect for this project.

This chandelier is lovely. It is large, but doesn't look heavy since it is so simple in design. The packing material states that 25w bulbs are the maximum, but IMHO they are out of proportion with the candlesticks--15w is the biggest size I would go with. (25w bulbs are almost 2x larger than 15w.) The finish on ours is beautiful. My husband hung it by himself, but he is very strong. For most people I think it would be a 2-person job. Trying to keep the rods together while hanging it up is awkward.

Even better in real life. The price is great and the quality is too. It looks fantastic over our kitchen island. It's big... which is just what I wanted. I love it!

Ordered this for an Old World look for our new B&B that is in a carriage house of an 1873 main house. The look is perfect! Easy to install and better than I imagined.

This is a very large but subtle chandelier that looks wonderful hanging in a space with 16' high ceilings near an interior balcony and staircase. I saw the same chandelier for three times as much through another company. The style is a classic that is very neutral and would work with a number of different styles in the home.

I purchased this light for a home we were building. I thought it was a great price for a great look. However, the style was not to the taste of the new owner, so I returned it. I was a little bummed that the return shipping charge was deducted from my return refund... I must not have read that properly! (I suppose with large items you can not offer free returns, **** must have me spoiled!)

I cannot say enough great things about this chandelier! We are building a new home. We took a traditional home style and added our own tudor style to it. We wanted the decor to be old world yet modern. This chandelier is in my formal dinning room. I have 13 ft. ceilings and it hangs beautifully. I chose not to add a lot of formal furniture in there. I have a 7 ft. table that was practically beaten with a large chain to distress it and 8 king back parson chairs. I am teling you that this room is timeless. For the price and quality you cannot go wrong. No major problem installing it and we love it!

Previous reviews did not lie. This is a large, lovely chandelier. I did not notice that it scratched easily as some reviews said, but we kept the whole chandelier wrapped as we installed it. I would agree that the instructions are severely lacking in clarity, but if you've installed a light before, or hired a professional, it isn't too much of a headache. We have it up just in time for Halloween, and hung some glittery birds- fun accent. This is such a great chandelier- elegant without being flashy, simple and just timeless! Plenty of light from the 9 bulbs.

This fixture is a beautiful installed. I bought one for a spec house and have since bought one for personal use. If considering this fixture you should go for it as it is simply beautiful.

We purchased this chandelier for our kitchen. We have a very high "tower" and needed something to fill the space, that had this old-world look but that also didn't give everything a weighed down look. This is PERFECT! We had considered something with iron and glass and went with this because anything with glass would get incredibly dusty and dirty looking. And, being so high, it would just be a pain to clean it. Its light-weight but quite substantial in appearance. We are THRILLED with this fixture!!!
