  • Looks nice, but a little short on the quality

    When I first got this out of the box and started putting it together, my initial feeling was disappointment and frustration and feeling like I'd been ripped-off. To start, there was a nice long, wide crack in the wood veneer along the top-inside arc of the upper-front wood panel. Thankfully, this ends up being hidden by the glass, but I almost decided to send it back. Secondly, the quality of construction and parts for assembly were a little sketchy (a pair of wood dowels were not the right size, and one of the bolt holes was missing its metal threads). Luckily, I keep left-over hardware from these types of things, so I was able to find some replacement parts in my toolbox. Finally, if you buy this, be very careful about accidentally scratching the under-side of any of the glass shelves. The glass "looks" tinted, but its really just black paint and it comes off very easily. If this happens, you can see it through the glass. I had to take a black marker and "paint" over the scratch to hide it... Something else to consider is that dust and fingerprints are very noticeable, so depending on your environment, you may have to dust / clean it every day. However, all that said, once assembled and in place, it looks very nice and definitely classes up the room by a factor of 10.
